Derek Trucks Band Equipment Stolen....
Emergency - Please Help
The Derek Trucks Band's equipment trailer was
stolen last night in Atlanta. I need to purchase
the following equipment ASAP. Anyone who is
willing to sell any of this gear, please call me
at 303-778-1156.

1) Two blackface Super Reverbs, 1965 preferred,
1964 through 1967 acceptable. Must have
original transformers; everything else will be
tweaked by me to Derek's spec. Speakers
not important - keep 'em if you like. As long
as the cabinet and baffle board aren't busted,
I don't give a **** what it looks like.

2) One 1974 or earlier Ampeg SVT head. Must
have original trannies. Looks not important
Not looking for the oldest production with the
6146B output tubes, please.

Posters in the Atlanta area, please be on the lookout for
the stolen gear. A list of serial numbers will be posted
here as soon as I receive it.

Just saw that.

I hope they get their gear back or else they'll be spending most of their earnings from songlines on new gear.... vintage gear at that

Bummer! Not that it makes any difference, but what section of Atlanta was this gear stolen from?

Keep your eyes open for equipment similar to what's listed with the serial numbers either sanded off or the serial number plates missing altogether. I've had stuff stolen so I know how sick everybody involved must feel.

Hopefully the gear was fully insured. But nevertheless, trying to replace vintage equipment is going to be difficult at best. Hopefully, the thieves will be caught and fully prosecuted and the gear will be recovered. Unfortunately, this type of stuff happens quite often, just about every musician I know has has some gear stolen at one time or another.

This wasn't supposed to be posted around the net, but as it quickly spread around everywhere, I guess we should all send good vibes to the DTB and hope the people responsible for this get caught.

sorry if I escalated the situation, Pam...saw it on Phil's site, and got it in several emails...hadn't seen it here, so I figured posting it wouldn't hurt.

Actually, I received a peach-o-gram about it. The word needs to be out. I can't believe someone could do such a terrible thing to some of the nicest guys on the planet!

The un-peach-o-gram seems to have been sent out after it had gone public.

If you're serious about that and your equipment matches the desired specs, perhaps you should call the number listed. I don't if any of the DTB crew will be checking discussion boards for responses, so your offer, generous as it is, might go unnoticed.

Best wishes to the DTB in getting this resolved quickly.
