This list just seems to revolve around the "Classic rock" artist and package tours.

Already got excellent reserved seats for Steely Dan/Doobie Brothers the day they went on sale. Other than that, not a whole lot that gets me excited on this list although I wouldn't mind seeing Ozzy.

Please. F them. Why the heck does anyone want to see these crusty washed up old bands playing for $ 200 and 300 and 4 bills a ticket. Its a joke. I am glad I saw most of them when I cared.

This.

The only shows I have tickets for so far are Gov't Mule and Devon Allman.

Mule on 4/20 and Devon 4/22.

Gonna be a hell of a weekend.

After that it will be whoever headlines Taste of Syracuse (Cheap Trick year before last) and then the Syracuse BluesFest.

BluesFest headliner last year was JJ Grey & Mofro.

We weren't impressed and left after 5 songs.

I don't instantly dislike any musician for aging. I see Jeff Beck on that list of summer shows, and he can play circles around most people half his age.

I'm with you in that I wouldn't pay $200 for these acts, but I wouldn't pay $200 to see anyone.

I agree. Most of its just the same old same old summer after summer playing the hits. I kinda scratched that itch with those songs many moons ago. Although I would not mind seeing Paul Rodgers do the songs of Free with a top notch backing band.

If that's what you like go and enjoy, I cant begrudge anyone for dong that. It will be interesting to see what the touring landscape looks like in a 5-10 yrs when a lot of these classic rock artist will be more than likely done at that point. I like Skynyrd , but I just find it kinda odd a farewell tour with only one original member in the band. It makes me think of Foreigner, Mick Jones hardly plays with them and seem to tour on regular basis and do all right for themselves. Would you consider them a tribute/cover band? I dunno ...

I looked at the local big shed amphitheater and so far there are I think about 31-32 artist coming. 12 are of the classic rock variety/package tours(more to come I am sure) and I think roughly 8-10 are country bands.

Speaking of ticket prices......( that's a sore subject with me and ticket brokers,

I was listening to a podcast the other day and they were talking about the Eagles, I believe back in 1995, how they were the first band that broke the 100.00 mark for ticket prices for the Hell Freezes Over Tour.
