So, one of my projects, Mudcreek Bottom got together one Tuesday night last spring and decided to raid the local Open Mic Night/Jam at the local blues joint.

here is link to one of the videos that I posted on youtube
different than the brothers version

I learned this version from listening to ABB listserv jammer Dave Melton

skydogj on vocals and 335 slide

That was very cool. Sort of like Done Somebody Wrong meets 44 Blues meets Black Snake Moan. I liked it quite a bit.

I also really like your singing voice, skydogj.

Man, that was good!!! Thought I heard a little Elmore James there.
And after reading the Trippin with Duane thread, couldn't help but think Duane would be proud of how many people he made aware of real blues music.

Also brought back memories on JFD 2004 with Jason, Jay Rose, and Isaac Pike onstage at the same time, working over Key to the Highway for about 20 minutes.

Jason, you coming in for the Thurs. night jam, sit in with the Skydogs?

Jason, I too play slide, and that was a great tune. I always love to hear diff. arrangements of tunes. You should come on down to Gadsden on Thurs. It's gonna be a blast!

yep, 3 bands

1. Mudcreek Bottom(in video here) - originals and covers
2. The Blues Experiment(audio on myspace, a video or two on youtube) - pretty much covers, in our own way
3. The Darby McCullar Band (outlaw country originals band-few covers, no footage up yet)

Likewise!!

Drew and I were swapping slide licks on the dobro while the sound crew was setting up pre-jam Saturday.
I might go to Wanee, but who really knows. That is a journey.

Jason, if I drove to Wanee from CT you have no excuses why you can't drive there from MS.

Ask Brent about his journey! Can't be any worse than that!!! One and all should be there...it's the only other "real" family jam that is just so wonderful other than the JFD!
