Discography

Hi,

I see that the IRSA benefit album (6/11/92) seems to be missing from the above; a very fine album indeed! Also a couple of European and Antipodean collections and compilations: Madness of the West; All Live; The Best of the Allman Brothers Live.

All the best, and keep up the good work,

Bob (from London)

Duane And Gregg

This is an addition to your discography. The album is entitled Duane and Gregg. It is an early Polydor release. The album cover features the same likenesses as on Idlewild South (white outline drawings of Duane and Greggs faces on a black background) The sound quality of this record is actually quite poor but it features some outstanding soulful studio performances. It has a different rendition of Mellissa from the later Allman Bros. release. A beatiful God Rest His Soul. A very bluesy Nobody Loves You When You're Down and Out and an awesome Morning Dew. These songs and the rest of the album were raw and deep and meaningful. I've never seen it re-released on CD. If anyone has please let me know!

The Magic is Back!

What an incredible night of music, beginning with The Derek Trucks Band. I'm just starting to get familiar with this music and this was my first time to see them live, wow, I can't wait to see them in October in Athens; Patty and Randall, make plans for that one!

I love to watch Derek play, his facial expressions....and yes, his soul comes out. This music is truly joyous, my favorite song is Joyful Noise, it really got the crowd up and everyone was groovin', it's fun, it's spirit filled, touching and energizing. I am a Derek Trucks Band fan, ya'll, yes I am! I love this music! It's mature, refreshing, funky, jazzy, bluesy......get cha some!!
