The Breeders' Cup is today and tomorrow. I usually just bet on the "Triple Crown" races in the spring, but I do look at the other big races for some horses names that make me smile or remind me of other good times, and sure enough I found three names for these races.

Today in the 5th race - Filly & Mare Sprint has a horse named "Game Face". The odds are 10-1.

Tomorrow the 7th race - Turf, has two names that I like. "Red Rocks" (20-1) and "Spanish Moon" (5-2).
The odds are from Wednessday's NY Post, so they will change today and tomorrow.

You have to love the "Mule" picks. Anyone else out there a horse racing fan with any other picks?

Peace and good luck,
Jim

Love horse racing, but as it happens almost every year,it falls on the day of my daughter's birthday party. So,since I really can't watch it,I don't tease myself and get into it too much.

However,at a quick glance,I think I'm going to call in two bets

Turf Sprint-Exacta box with two longshots.Canadian Ballet and Desert Code

Classic-Exacta box with Zenyatta and Colonel John

Zenyatta is the greatest filly of all-time, imho. That was a quality field she ran through.
Gio Ponti's race would have won in most years....she ran right by him. 2:00.02. Amazing.
One of the greatest thoroughbreds ever. The best filly.

Love the BC. Usually target the live overlays as there is show much class from gate to gate. Didn't cash many tickets this year, but have had some $600 - $900 $2 exactas in past years. Did you catch Sweet Inspiration as on the the bumpers going into commercial on NBC's coverage? Cool. I plan to attend on year - maybe Gulfstream.
