Gonna buy one this weekend, anything I should know? Also, anyone also have Wii Fit? Curious about thoughts on those too.

We have one. I think most people start out with th eintention of using it to justify the cost of the purchase- you will exercise more, get on the internet with it, have family fun night with it. We don't use it nearly as much as we initially thought we would. However it is a lot of fun to use. Wii Fit is a great program. Building a profile sort of made me feel like crap because you see your weight and it makes all sorts of suggestions as to how to become more healthy using their games.

The other games that it has to offer have pretty good graphics and are relatively intuitive in terms of using the wireless joysticks, and those following your hand movements.

I suggest going to Blockbuster and renting a game every couple days to try out before investing the $50-60 a pop to buy one.

I got one so friends kids would have something to do when they came over.

A good investment is a stand with the fan and chargers . I got a third party charger. less than the wii model.
you'll go through a lot of batteries. and it is no fun to tell a kid he can't play
cause you don't have fresh batteries.

get an extra controller , so you don't have to play with yourself all the time.

IF you have wireless networking you can join that network and download updates, weather and news.
And even games.

I enjoy reading the new on a 48" plasma rather than a newspaper with these 20/400 eyes

my buddies like the Tiger Woods golf. a lot easier on my back than real clubs.
a good simulation although my Wii handicap is much lower than my real golf handicap ever was.

The little kids love the Mario Kart Races. and it is forgiving for younger ones.

Yeah, that's what I need. An "extra controller."

My buddy got one for his kids. Heck, I think he, his wife, and anyone that shows up at his house starts playing on the thing. I don't know how many games you can get now, but the ones that I tried out when I was over there were the bowling, golf, baseball, and the guitar hero thing. I really enjoyed the bowling one. I would imagine that most of them are pretty fun once you get the hang of it, but the bowling game was easy and I thought it was pretty darn cool. Enjoy and let us know how ya' like it and which games you dig.

My son and his family have one and I've played it and really enjoyed it. Been thinking about getting one for my house, too - you know ... for when the kids visit. Haven't tried any of the Wii Fit programs but have been told by coworkers that they are pretty good source of exercise.

Wii fit says my age is 77, so I'm avoiding it.

I'm divorced, my kids have Playstation and XBox at their mother's, so I got them the Wii. They prefer the PS and XB, but that's partly because they use them more. I don't play it much myself.

My aunt has one, and she brought it to the beach with her this summer. Maybe my family is a little overly competitive, but we had a blast playing all of the balancing games on the fit to see who could win, and having tournaments with all of the differnt sports options.

My mom just got one for her birthday, and she absolutely loves it. I'd say it's a good investment. Lots of fun, and it gets you moving around a little bit more than normal video games.

If you have younger kids, under 10, the wii is great. Otherwise get the PS3. Much better games and graphics. Plus, the PS3 has the blue Ray feature which is amazing! We own both systems and my son is now 8. I find that we are playing the PS3 more and more.

Beatles Rock Band is a must.
