I must admit I don't start watching baseball until the World Series, and even then, I can't watch a full game.

I do think the Phillies are going to win in 6 games.

6-1!!! Mr. Lee you were great! This is a pattern the Phillies like - win game 1, lose game 2 to give the other team something, and then sweep at home. By the way, how much are those Yankee tix? If they cost too much, they should give them away so there aren't any empties. Maybe they need less stars and more real fans from NY. Next up Pedro.

No way. If there is one MLB team that is part of the CFR it is the Yankees. They win. It's a lock.

Pedro will never change, here's a part of an atricle I just read by Lee Rousakoff on Comcast. Kind of funny and classic Pedro.

Pedro Is the Son of God

You think the theater is over now that Cliff Lee has pitched his gem? Think again. Pedro will entertain you I promise.

Dont believe me? Check out what he said last night:

I dont know if you guys realize this, but because of you guys in some ways, I might be at times the most influential player that ever stepped in Yankee Stadium. [emphasis added]

He honestly said that. Honestly.

Know what else he said?

You know, any time I hear that, Whos your daddy? it really reminds me that God is my daddy. It gives me strength.

Yea so in 20 minutes Pedro insisted he was more influential than Gehrig and Ruth and Mantle and DiMaggio and apparently admitted hes Jesus or brothers with Jesus (half-brothers at the very least).

Look at the Phillies first 2 starting pitchers. Lee was demoted to triple A a few years back and Pedro was sitting under his coconut tree earlier this year.

Lee was amazing. My prediction of 6 games might be off a bit. If pedro gets the job done, this could be over quick.

I would love if the Phils could take care of this in 5. That way I can go see DTB next week without having to miss Game 6.

Great way to start the Series. GO PHILLIES!!!!!

My mantra is "Anyone but the Yankees"

But beware all you Philly fans/Yankee Haters...it's only 1 game. Don't get ahead of yourselves. Couldn't ask for a better start though.

This series could not have gotten off to a better start.. unless Lee could have pulled off a shutout - now that would be perfect. But Lee pitching a complete game and fanning A-Rod and Posada with two on to end the game... priceless!

Just for kicks I checked the ticket prices out. Not cheap but less than I expected.

Why in the world would they spend a billion dollars on the new stadium and end up with "obstructed view" seats? Who thought that was a good idea?

<Go Phillies>

Anyone else notice that alot of the lead in and outro music on the game broadcast last night was Widespread Panic?

I caught some snippets of Surprise Valley and One Armed Steve off the Till the Medicine Takes album.

Too bad Sean Avery doesn't play for the Phillies, he could have made a comment about A-Rod getting Chris Robinson's sloppy seconds!!

As a vindictive Mets fan, I want the Phillies to win just so they shove in the Mets face and show them what a real organization is...... And there are a zillion Yankee fans in my office too, can't stand their jabbering! And yes, I did notice the Widespread Panic when they went to commercial or something like that.

Buck and Macarver continue to annoy me. Do I care on what pitch Utley hit his two homeruns? No, I don't. I also like when Buck claimed the next pitch would be CC's 100th pitch and then Fox showed a graphic that said he had already thrown 101 pitches.
