I saw this film on Sunday with a good friend and fellow Beatles fan.

I really enjoyed it. the only problem with the editing where
they put interviews over the music. Ringo's performance
of "Photograph" said so much more than words could say,
to cut into that was just a sin.

But it was a very moving tribute to George, that I really enjoyed.

Peace
John

Any help John?

It is in theaters now.

After the theatre run is over it will be on DVD.

I drove a few miles to a theater that had a good THX soundsystem.

I just heard about the DVD yesterday - good news!

I just this week picked up audience recordings of this show - terrible recording (the Albert Hall has notoriously poor acoustics for rock, and being a stealth recording only makes it worse), but it's a great show. In spite of everything I feel about Macca's recent behaviour (the Let It Be...Naked release particularly), he turns in a damned fine performance & his ukelele performance is a real highlight (seriously!)

This is a good release for Beatles fans!

Oh, I thought this was a concert for George W. Bush, my favorite President, not George Harrison, my favorite Beatle. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Actually I think Dubya has an uncredited tambourine part on Ringos latest album.

I had the incredible honor to meet George Harrison and he was an amazing gentleman....

miss EJ and i saw the film yesterday...except for a couple of edits out of sequence, and artists comments in the middle of the songs ("photograph", "handle me with care") a beautiful and heartfelt tribute...ravi shankar's composition for GH, performed by his daughter anouska, eric clapton, and a large indian/western chorus/orchestra, was very moving...

we felt like we had been to a memorial service...

very true.

i'd never before seen Dhani, George's son, and found his presence rather startling...he looked so much like young George standing there onstage.

Watch out now, take care
Beware of falling swingers
Dropping all around you
The pain that often mingles
In your fingertips
Beware of darkness

Watch out now, take care
Beware of the thoughts that linger
Winding up inside your head
The hopelessness around you
In the dead of night

Beware of sadness
It can hit you
It can hurt you
Make you sore and what is more
That is not what you are here for

Watch out now, take care
Beware of soft shoe shufflers
Dancing down the sidewalks
As each unconscious sufferer
Wanders aimlessly
Beware of Maya

Watch out now, take care
Beware of greedy leaders
They take you where you should not go
While Weeping Atlas Cedars
They just want to grow, grow and grow
Beware of darkness

I was very happy with this... Very moving. I particularly loved Billy Preston doing "Isn't it a Pity?" and he played a great organ solo. It was also nice to hear Paul McCartney sing "All Things Must Pass". Very nice! The Monty Python bit was HILARIOUS... The whole thing was excellent, there was litterally nothing I didn't enjoy.
