Coming home from work listening to Eat a Peach Deluxe edition. One Way Out. The solo from Dickey just popped and was smoking. What other solos from this two guys do you think smokes and stands out?

You just picked the one I was going to pick for Dickey when I saw the title of this thread.

I just listened to the EAP Deluxe Edition last week. Love the One Way Out.

My original picks would be Duane on IMOER from At Fillmore East and Dickey on Stormy Monday from the same LP.

How about the Blue Sky from Stoneybrook. A tour de force from both of them.

Duane's solo on IMOER is like the heavens coming down upon us. I used to play that in my office and it turned a few heads of the music fans that wandered through once in a while.

hard to pick just one

AFE - every single one, but - if I had to pick
Duane - Liz Reed, Done Somebody Wrong, Mntn Jam coda (EAP)
Dickey Stormy Monday
Both - YDLM

from Stony Brook
Duane Dreams
both Blue Sky - that version just floors me every time I hear it - always have to repeat it (btw, it sounds to me like Dickey has the 1st solo and Duane the secon one on that but can't be sure - any other opinions? thanks)

I also like when Duane does his "Age of Aquarius" thing on IMOER on the Atlanta Pop CD.
