Just thinking tonight while seeing some videos of the brothers. And seeing Gregg enjoying the shows, clapping hands, smiling, etc, i just realized how much i love this man, he's thousands miles away from me but he's like part of my family, like my uncle.

I have seen the ABB only once in my life (Piedmont Park, Atlanta 2007) and it was one of the happiest days in my life, i know his songs, i play them and live them. They're my band.

I love Gregg and hope God let him stay with us for many years.

Good post! I really enjoy his music, singing and style. Heck, I wish my hair could/would grow like his too.

I hope Gregg keeps on performing as long as it's fun and satisfying for him. If and when he's done, I hope it's on his own terms.

All that being said, I want some new music too! I hope he and whoever is on board, gets in the studio this January (like he's being saying) and starts working on an album. Some new Gregg would be a great day to celebrate Rogues Day next May!

Here's to Keeping The Vibe Alive!

Every time I see the ABB in concert, and I can ratchet my attention away from the guitar duo...and especially when Gregg brings the song back around to a chorus, with that voice.....I think to myself and most always proclaim to those around me:

"We are in the presence of a living legend."

I saw the Allmans in Clearwater FL on 10/21. I thought Greg was in pretty rough shape. He had someone sitting in on the keyboards with him, playing all the hard solos. I really missed the sound of the B3 on Elizabeth Reed.

Derek on the other hand was incredible. He really did most of the heavy lifting that night. I was kind of disappointed. They were so much better at Wanee.

I saw Gregg on the 20th and he was fabulous. His voice was strong and he
was playing the B3, but had the brilliant Bruce Katz next to
him on keyboards. Bruce is the best and he is part of Gregg Allman and Friends
Band. Gregg was in an accident recently and at the age of 61 he is doing pretty
damn good. I wouldn't miss him for anything. As a matter of fact, we are driving
to VA from FL to see him in January!!!

I hope like hell Brother Gregg comes to Charleston, SC this winter. Gregg's shows are so soulful and enjoyable. I love being on top of the world and these shows take me there. Ain't a phucking care in the world when brother Gregg opens chapel.
