I'll go with Stormy Monday or Win, Lose, or Draw. Does the band still do these tunes?

Stormy Monday was played this tour, I heard it at Jones Beach.
"Louisiana Lou and Three Card Monty John" is a tune I like, but not exactly popular as it's kind of slight.

Does anyone know if the Dickey, Warren, and Woody era ABB ever played Win, Lose, or Draw or High Falls in concert?

HIGH FALLS was played quite a bit in 2000!!!! You can find a version on the classic CD "Peakin At The Beacon." Now that's one underrated album, I really like it from start to finish.

I think WIN LOSE OR DRAW has been ignored since its 1975 debut.

Was Dickey still with them when they did High Falls?

Shame about Win, Lose, or Draw. I love that song.

When they played HIGH FALLS at the Beacon (March 2000), he was with them. When they played it during the summer tour (June-August 2000), Jimmy Herring took over.

I think HIGH FALLS was never revisited from 2001 onward, but I could be wrong.

I'd sure love to hear or see the ABB with Dickey perform High Falls. Can anybody help me? There aren't any videos on youtube. I'd try to trade stuff but I don't go to shows anymore and have nothing to offer.

Ditto for Win, Lose, Or Draw if they ever did it after Warren joined.

I know some folks on here don't like it, but in my honest opinion, Win, Lose or Draw doesn't have a bad track on it... Louisiana Lou, Just Another Love Song, High Falls, & Sweet Mama, all Classic Dickey Betts tunes.

I kinda think of Dickey's work on Win, Lose or Draw as Highway Call's electric-brother.

That was a really good album. Not as great as Highway Call maybe, but good none the less. Gregg sounded so good on the title track. I really want to hear how he might have done it in the 90's or even more recent.

Using LAFE as the ultimate ABB work...WLD did not sound like the Allman Brothers band I knew and loved. This album was such a disappointment. Imho, just terrible. To this day, I don't own it.
"High Falls" was sweet, but without Chuck's Piano, played live today, it is just another meandering, directionless guitar piece.

After seeing Clapton sit in on Stormy Monday at the Beacon I don't think it can "slip under the radar" anymore.

"It Ain't Over Yet" from Seven Turns

I listened to this as a new release driving to and from Charlotte for the Fall '90 Winston Cup race, and during the race the late, great Dale Earnhardt had a tough day but hung on and actually finished ahead of Mark Martin with whom he was dueling for the points battle. That song and Dale's performance both stuck in my mind and complemented each other. A great, under appreciated song only played one year I think, and I have never heard a recording of a live version.

There is a link in the Menu on the left for "Live Show Database". From this link, you can search the setlists. I selected "Search setlists" and typed in "Draw".

16 shows came up, all in the 75-76 timeframe.

High falls was played alot during the Dickey Jack Pearson years from 97to99 it has not been played but maybe 2 or three times since Jack left the band.. same with JJ's Alley two great songs but my vote goes to Leave My Blues At Home.

Not when Jack Pearson was playing it it was then a Guitar masterpiece.. and far from Meandering it is a very tightly structured song.

Leave My Blues at Home from Idlewild South, great lyrics : Well, if you ride you pay the fare... with satan on your back.
And he dont care where you come from or where you goin. Also amazing interplay between Duane and Dickey, a small drum break, etc. This song has it all, seems all the previous are from the "new" era.
