Stevie Ray Vaughn was a God amongst men. Gregg Allman heard SRV playing Texas Flood one time in a bar and he is on record saying it made him weep. True story my dad used to tell me.

SRV was the only reason to ever turn on a radio in the 80's.

I'm still bitter that he got booed at Montreaux in '83. Swiss need their art spoon-fed to them. Disgraceful.

Saw SRV here in San Diego just months before his unfortunate passing. Still one of my greatest concert memories. Add to that about a month later, I caught Carlos Santana at the Orange County Fairgrounds... Before playing a single note, Carlos stepped up to the mic and said these very words... "I would like to dedicate this show to my friend... SRV, who is now in a place where he is bathed by a light that casts no shadow"....

Chilling... I will never forget SRV

I saw him in ATL with Jeff Beck just a couple of months before he died. Though Beck maybe got the better of the show that night, it was still one of the best concerts I've ever seen.

I was at this show courtesy of 96 Rock in Atl. Got to meet Jeff Beck and won a Les Paul autographed by him, what a super nice guy. I'll never forget SRV walking past me to go onstage, purple suede cape flowing with matching hat. I choked and couldn't even say hello! Your'e right, it was one of the best shows EVER! I was walking on a cloud all night!
