Donna and I plan to grill burgers n brats at our house before next Saturday's show.
I'll PM directions to interested parties.

RB

Edited to include official start time of 2:00!
Re-edited to clarify that BBQ starts at around 2:00 in the AFTERNOON - not in the wee-wee hours!

<---------Interested [in a] party!

Rusty, please tell me the Hotel Highland at 5 Ponts South is not a dump or in a bad area. 2 miles away from BJCC and $75 less than the Sheraton on Priceline for those looking for lodging.

EDIT, hotel is sold out Sat, but not Fri.

Not a dump at all! Right across from Birmingham' 5 Points South and thusly, home of the recently re-opend 5 Points Music Hall - one several clubs to watch for ... visitors after the Fri and Sat shows.

Please come and eat BBQ, Brock!

Helen, we'll certainly miss seeing you! I do wish you could make it!

Looking forward to seeing all who show up!

This will be a long day of music! Maybe jam some at my house - the show, Rollin in the Hay and other local shows at clubs afterward! We could try to pace ourselves, or we can just go full-throttle and spend the next few days recovering. I choose the latter!

TerriB - I wish you'd magically appear, too!

Full throttle here.
Planning on Rollin in the Hay Fri. night, your house Sat., then Brent's gig after the show Sat. The lady coming with me Fri. is the lady who told me of Duane's passing. Long time ago.

There have been some mix-ups, errors or new facts in the reporting of club gigs after the show.

Rollin in the Hay is on Saturday at the Rogue. The Rogue is easy steppin' distance from the club where Brent and the Dogs are playing (the Metro bistro - 2 blocks from the Rogue). I 'spect I'll be pacing between the venues!

On Friday (after show gig) Frankie Velvet and the Veltones are at the Rogue. This is the same core band as Rollin in the Hay - but with electric instruments. Same two bad-ass guitarists, same connection to the ABB and Widespread. I'll show up at this gig after my ball game.

Y'all know the Skydogs are fantastic! I think you'll enjoy the Vetones and Hay, too! Pace yourselves? I think they sell Red Bull at both clubs!

Thanks for that clip!

A lot of people don't realize (or accept) that Dylan is really a pretty decent guitarist! No Warren Haynes or Derek Trucks but probably technically better than someone like Neil Young.

These days he only picks for two or three tunes per show before taking the keys.
