Nice. I caught a lot of shows on the 98 Beacon run and Jack was stellar. The closing show of that run was one of my favorite ABB performances ever. I'm also struck by how much better I think Gregg sounds now and how by the beacon run 99, I don't think the band sounded as good as 98. I think that's when Jacks tenitus really affected him.

I had first row of the lodge all the way on the Otiel side one night on the 99 run, so I could see right into the back stage area behind Gregg. I remember Jack taking a seat at one point looking real uncomfortable and Jaimoe seeing if he was OK.

With the guitar show in Arlington happening the weekend the ABB are in town be nice if Jack was doing a clinic and play with the ABB.

I once met Jack a few years back when he played in GA&F. Very nice and gracious soul. He told me because of his hearing issues, and Dickey cranking his amps too high, he had to leave the band. When he saw Dickey get ousted a year later he was bummed because he wanted to be in the ABB he loved it. Plus the thought of being paired up with Derek or Warren did not hurt either. To anyone who has never seen Jack live, may you someday get the chance, otherwise grab a recording of anything he is on, phenomenal.
