Anybody know if the Mule's new DVD/CD is available at retail tomorrow? I called Borders and Best Buy and nobody seems to know anything about it.

I preordered my copy. Did not get it yet. Though I got an
email from Music today saying it shipped a few days ago.
I would expect to get it tomorrow.

Peace
John

Got my Mule today. What a great show and an excellent package to remember it with. 6 hours and 4 minutes total package time. Highlights for me are a funkified "John the Revelator" and "Chameleon" with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The 3 bass "Thorazine Shuffle" is an epic final tribute to Woody. Matt Abts is an unbelievable dynamo no matter how many times you rewind.

These are just early highlights. I have a lot more Mule to watch.

The Deepest End and Live at the Beacon Theatre are excellent records of the Live rock and roll jam band experience. IMO they eclipse the Grateful Dead catalog because of an immediatcy developed by the tight angles and close ups. The Beacon is smoother and seems to be better shot but the quick cutaways and flashy montage add to the intensity of the Deepest End.

This is great stuff.

Is this all one package or two separate items?

22 bucks at best buy, they had a few copies where I went...I didn't go to any other stores to see if they had it, but I'd imagine somewhere around 20-22 is what you'll pay for it at retail. Amazing set of sics..have to wait to watch the DVD, but the CDs are absolutely stunning. I cant even think of where to begin to comment.

Bought it last night at Barnes and Noble. Only 15 days until they hit the North Coast, am eagerly anticipating the show.

By "North Coast", do you mean NYC? Is it available in the city yet?

Ok, it may be a little late for some of you, but I got my copy through in the post yesterday (it only hit UK stores on Monday - curse these staggered release dates!)

Great, great release - I've had AUD cdr's of this show for a few months and kind of liked them (SQ wasn't marvellous), but to see & hear all 5+ hours it in its' high-fidelity, technicolour glory makes a HUGE difference!

I've only had time so far to listen to the audio stuff, and watch a little bit of the DVD - got to love the section in the documentary, where they're desperately trying to get George Porter back to the Theatre, in time for the final encore! Warren's smile, as he glances towards stage right at the end of Wasted Time (ironic choice of song?) and spies George, is absolutely priceless!

And all this for less than 15 - hats off to the Mule for yet another superb-value package! So when are you coming to Britain then, Warren?

P.S. Nice compact packaging too (3 CD jewel case) - there's only one problem: my DVD's are downstairs, but my CD's are upstairs in the computer room, as there's far too many of them for She Who Must Be Obeyed to ever contemplate allowing me to keep them downstairs!

Where, therefore, do I store it? To split or not to split the set?? Choices, choices!!

Paul, i got the Deepest End set from Play.com a good few weeks ago. I'm sure the dvd is region free anyway, so you would have had no problems playing the disc. If you haven't got the Beacon dvd yet, that is also region free, and i believe play are stocking it. I'm not over keen on giving bank details to these companies, but i've never had any trouble with Play. I'm sure they've got the Benefit Concert cd (Warren Haynes et al) advertised as being available soon as well.
