Happy Birthday, Bruce!!! Still rocking and moving great at 60!

(Saw his show 2 nights ago and he was excellent! He also had a couple of moves that should have come with a don't-try-this-at-home warning!!! The man is in great shape! )

I had been dreaming of seeing an E Street Band show since the mid 70s, then last week it finally happened. He blew the roof off of the joint, over 3 hours, high energy, non stop... Took requests and did an amazing cover of "Satisfaction." 6o years old and has the energy of a 20 year old! And the band was amazing. Max is gigging on the Tonight Show, so his 19 year old son is playing, and he is equally amazing. What a show! Happy Birthday Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuce!

We got lucky a couple of nights ago at the show I saw ... wasn't expecting to see Max because of his Tonight Show thing but there he was!

I think I have a sorrier story. I missed this show because i had a big test the next day. My children still don't believe the story

28/03/76 - DUKE UNIVERSITY, DURHAM, NC

NIGHT / 10TH AVENUE FREEZE-OUT / SPIRIT IN THE NIGHT / IT'S MY LIFE / THUNDER ROAD / KITTY’S BACK / SHE’S THE ONE / BORN TO RUN / MEETING ACROSS THE RIVER / BACKSTREETS / JUNGLELAND / ROSALITA / RAISE YOUR HAND / QUARTER TO THREE

Above-mentioned partial setlist is culled from information from a May 20, 1976 report in Rolling Stone, as well as a brief review in Duke University’s Student Newspaper. A Brucebase reader present also adds that he recollects It's My Life also being played and that "I distinctly remember looking down the row of people and seeing that every single one of them had their mouths open (as did I) in stunned silence, mesmerized by the story and the music. It was thrilling." This is one of only a few shows in which all 8 songs from the Born To Run LP were performed. There were 2 OR 3 additional songs played that are not articulated in either review. THERE IS NO CIRCULATING AUDIO FROM THIS SHOW. Thanks to David for the info and scan.

Thanks to David for the ticket stub scan.

I wasn't at Duke but my favorite Boss show was 24/Sept/99 -- SPECTRUM, PHILADELPHIA, PA
Known as "The Birthday Show" as it took place one day after Bruce's 50th birthday, While the other five shows in Philadelphia on this stand took place at the First Union Center, this show moved 150 yards to the old Spectrum building,

I love that old dump
