Well while in a chat on the other JP and DT forum started talking about BBQ America's Favorite. I am on the road alot and want to know your favorite BBQ joints.

My two favorite BBQ joints are The Interstate BBQ in Memphis and Misssissippi and The Comissary in Germantown, TN.

What about you?

Gates & Sons - Kansas City, MO
Smokestack (the dirty one on Wornall Road, not the other corporatized places) - Kansas City, MO
Oklahoma Joe's - Kansas City, KS

Jack's in Nashville, Arthur Bryant in KC and Paul's in Lincoln, NE.

My daughter swears Burr's in Lebanon, TN is by far the best BBQ on the planet. Just a single, independently run location.

I was passing through Richmond, VA and decided to search out a joint I'd seen on Bobby Flay's Throwdown, where he LOST to a rib competitor who owns a place called Buzz & Ned's in Richmond....pretty darn good if you are in Richmond.

It seems obvious, but a buddy of mine told me..."if you don't see smoke outside, it ain't a good BBQ joint." ... you'd be surprised.

In Jacksonville we have plenty to choose from Woody's and Bono's are the best of the multiple store joints.

Another one in Jax, Jenkins BBQ...been around forever, best pork sandwich in town.

Chop this Boston Butt up and add some eastern style vinegar based BBQ sauce and you got you some kick @$$ BBQ!!! I cook these over indirect heat (charcoal only never gas grills) for about 4 hours @ 275 to 325 degrees.. I forgot to put the foil pan under this one to catch the grease. Thats a fire hazard. I put it under it later, after the flare up.......LOL

Actually you can add your favorite sauce..........

Ummm Ummmm

I prefer Texas beef brisket.

None of that around the Cuse.

We did get some good brisket at Famous Dave's before the Sabres/Devils game in Buffalo last year.

Dino rocks, had some Wed. night.

Our local grocery store sells frozen entrees.

Pulled pork, beans, chili, and a creole mustard glazed pork loin.

When I lived in Houston, I'd eat at Luther's BBQ, nice smallish chain in east Texas and Louisiana.

Sadly, the were bought out buy the Pappas restaurant family and I've heard the food sucks now.

There's also a great place in Fulshear, just west of Houston called Doziers.

In Memphis, try Cozy Corner for ribs. IMO the Robinson's have The Rendzevous covered and then some. Located on North Parkway and Manassas.
Interstate Bar-B-Q is hard to beat. Their sweet basil sauce on the barbequed spaghetti is a treat. Try some barbequed balogna while you're there. If anybody could make balogna taste good, it'd the Neely family.
My favorite is Arlieque from Mt. Juliet, TN. Arlie Bragg is located where ever he can park his smoker. Past National rib champ in dry rub ribs. He's my caterer for Fan Fair and for one week each year, I have barbeque for 2-3 meals a day. Barbeque bacon and new potatoes for breakfast, bricket for lunch, ribs for dinner. I'm in heaven. If it will fit in his smoker, he'll give it a whirl.
Now I'm hungry. Going to Tommy Shaw's (Damn Yankees, Styx) favorite joint, Pope Taylor's. Pope has one of the all time best sauces that he sells in half pint (500 ml now) bottles that he recycles after he finishes it's original contents. Bye

Don't forget The Pig (in particular the one on Normandy).

Some of my favorites in south Alabama:

Ben Jr's - Fairhope
Saucy Q - Mobile
Fireman's - Andalusia
George's - Brewton
Tambo's - Elberta

Lotsa love for Syracuse's Dinosaur.

ABC' Good Morning America named it the best BBQ joint in the US.

I wouldn't say that, BBQ should be beef, but it is pretty damn good for pork.
