So strange it may have worked:

Gregg and Waylon on Midnight Rider (Waylon did cover it)

I really don't think Gregg has a "duet" voice, BUT, a song with Ray Charles and Gregg might have been an interesting one.
Maybe its more Gregg's style than voice as far as me thinking he wouldn't be the cats meow for a duet.

Well, duets, when the don't quite work, are shmaltzy, silly, embarrassing, or blatanly commerical....... really the only way I could see a Gragg duet is an alternating chorus thing....

Gregg had the alternate thing with Don Johnson on Evidence of Love...maybe even some harmonies together . I really liked the LP, liked the song but DJ sang a bit too pleading and dramatic...like an actor would do.

Me neither, but I would have loved to have heard him belt out "Wang Dang Doodle" W/Koko Taylor

We gonna romp and tromp till midnight
We gonna fuss and fight till daylight
We gonna pitch a wang dang doodle all night long
All night long, All night long, All night long

R.I.P.

Actually Gregg sang with a girl (I forget her name) on the Searching For Simplicity outtakes. It was quite good. However nobody in his camp seemed to think so evidently. Probably the same people who didn't think to record a DVD of some of the incarnations of the GAB like when they had Buzz Feiten, Robben Ford or Jack Pearson for that matter. Why? Why? Why?
