I just saw the Allman Brothers at the Aspen Jazz festival. The last time I saw them was when Duane was still alive. I just couldn't come to grips with them playing without him. Anyway, I finally got over that

What's driving me crazy is I saw them, or at least I think I did , play at Lehigh University in Bethlehem PA. Looking through the set lists, I can't find that show. I also saw them at the Spectrum when they played with Johnny Winter and Redbone (that is on the set list page).

Is there anyone here who can confirm they played at Lehigh when Duane was alive?

I wish they played in PA that often these days - or at all. I'm sick of going to Jersey! Come back to Pennsylvania, please!

They also played the Spectrum in Philly after Duane passed in '71: 12/29 or something like that, with Dr. John and Jerry Lee Lewis. i was at this show, have a bad cassette of it.

Also, I understand that they played in 1970 at something called the "Be-In", held on Earth Day in 1970, at the Belmont Plateau in Philly. This was an outdoor concert, with a band called SeaTrain topping the bill -

I'm your Huckleberry...........

Have'nt said anything on site for a long time....
Never in the AG.......
I hung out in the Trades.....

Like to think I was a part of the "LIZARD GANG".....

In My Opinion....They were, are, and will "ALWAYS BE THE "Soul Blood" of this joint.
They're the ones that take the pride and the time (Time....A very valuable resource and virtue)
in getting the music to all that want to hear it (I mean that for "ALL THE TRADERS"....)
BUT....Especially the "Loungers".... They try their very best to "KEEP"it all "Fair and Real".....Despite the "Bull **** That GOES ON DOWN THERE SOMETIMES....FOR CHRIST"S SAKE...

"YOU"RE GETTING SOME OF THE BEST MUSIC EVER MADE FOR NOTHING"........"Nuff Said"....

Hey....Ron..Peg..Hugh..Rob..Rat..Dutch..JR..Mike..Bob......MANY OTHERs...(Like Libby And Denza.Neil..Coot.....I did "Meet" BOBO........ And..Sorry.....It's My Brain....
AND Yes...I have'nt "MET YOU", but Kitty And Drew and all the rest of the "Trading Peeps"

So........Yeah.....They Played Lehigh.....I was there....They also played a bunch of other places in PA that are'nt listed in the setlists Section...I Questioned this when I first got here.......Nobody said anything back.

Kirk West Called me in like 1981 to see if I had any Tapes from then....'nother Story....

I was at Kutztown State College....Excited as all hell to see them the 5th time......
The day of the show, while I was letting a girl braid my hair(Mistake) and listening to the local FM Station.....Heard that the band pulled into I think it was the nearby Howard Johnsons or Holiday Inn and when Duane and Berry got out of the passenger side of the Tracker Trailer, Two State Cops that had just pulled in, saw a bag of "White Powder" fall out with them......Got Arrested and it was up in the air if they would be able to play that nite.

They Did Play......I was there.......Long Show....Like 4 Hours... They were all like that then.......
Don't know how they got free but the show happened........Lizzy Reed Took Me To That Higher
Place As it Has Always Done........AND....I remember Dickey And Duane Taking Hits Off The "Walking Cane Pipe" That was Being Held Up and Offered to them from up front all nite long/

BTW.....It was late summer .....earley fall.......God....I Wanna Go Back.....

Gotta go......I'm very weak from doing this......I'll try to post more.......X

Allman Brothers played Lehigh in 1986 outdoors w/o Dickie Betts for first set, 2nd set Dickie Betts alone, 3rd set Allman B and Dickie B played together. Long after Duane but a great show.
