I was at the afternoon show. I was in the Navy at the time, a few weeks away from my discharge date. I got a call from my friend who said he had an extra ticket for the afternoon show...yeah, I'll go.

I was stationed in Newport, R.I. so trips home to Jersey were a few hours away.

Seems like most of what made it to video and audio was done during the afternoon show, as I remembered it very clearly when the records were released.

It was the evening show that was featured in the movie and on the soundtrack!!
The only thing from the afternoon that has been released that I'm aware of is Dylan doing "Love Minus Zero/No Limit"

I know this was a benefit concert.

I remember the monies rasied being tied up a red tape for years. Wonder if it ever got released?

Also "Wah-Wah" was edited on the LP but not in the movie, they area also different "takes". I can't remember which is from the afternoon, I believe it is the movie version, which is from the afternoon.

The triple LP and the movie are both from the evening show.

"Wah Wah" was in the movie. It was the opening number following Ravi Shankar.

Also if you live in New Jersey you'll know that "Wah Wah" is on almost every street corner. (Convenience store similar to 7-11)
