Rocking Horse into Soulshine, what is this a Mule show?

And I must say I'm happy to see that Susan came back out.

I am sure it was a great show and I hope anybody that went from the forum had a great time but boy these setlists have not changed much in the last few years I was hoping they would break out some of the rarities from their catalog, but either way as always I am sure they did not disappoint.

They were very tight and I loved the show, but I also would have liked 'something new'-in any sense ie a cover etc. Also,I like Whipping Post as the encore when they do a classic show.

It was a solid show, not my most favorite setlist. I'm always disappointed when they play this venue and don't play Mountain Jam. I really liked the rendition of Come On In My Kitchen though.

Off to the Rockies game.

I'm very burnt right now but have to add something. Dereks solo on dreams was so incredible I can't wait to get home and hear the cd and as good as dreams was Liz Reed was one of the best things I've heard in years absoulty off the chats we had 5 drummers during the Jabuma sec.the guitar work just left my jaw on the floor I'm still grinning. I had a very enjoyable time was great meeting people from here in person.A very magical night for me

Setlist looks just ok. Love it when they begin with DWYNM/NMCTB then into Done Somebody Wrong

There were days, and there were days
And there were days between
Summer flies and August dies
The world grows dark and mean
Comes the shimmer of the moon
On black infested trees
The singing man is at his song
The holy on their knees
The reckless are out wrecking
The timid plead their pleas
No one knows much more of this
Than anyone can see
Anyone can see

There were days, and there were days
And there were days besides
When phantom ships with phantom sails
Set to sea on phantom tides
Comes the lightning of the sun
On bright unfocused eyes
The blue of yet another day
A springtime wet with sighs
A hopeful candle lingers
In the land of lullabies
Where headless horsemen vanish
With wild and lonely cries
Lonely cries

There were days, and there were days
And there were days I know
When all we ever wanted
Was to learn and love and grow
Once we grew into our shoes
We told them where to go
Walked halfway around the world
On promise of the glow
Stood upon a mountain top
Walked barefoot in the snow
Gave the best we had to give
How much we'll never know
We'll never know

There were days, and there were days
And there were days between
Polished like a golden bowl
The finest ever seen
Hearts of Summer held in trust
Still tender young and green
Left on shelves collecting dust
Not knowing what they mean
Valentines of flesh and blood
As soft as velveteen
Hoping love would not forsake
The days that lie between
Lie between
It will not

Yeah, so intense. LOL.

To me, that photo does not do his spirit justice.

It was The Allman Brothers Band, for sure, no mule, no DB, it was the Fokking Allman Brothers band!

It was a Warren Night as Gregg did not sing much and he looked tired to me. I hope he is OK.Sounded great when he did sing but he was there at the start and at the end but Warren tunes were dominant.

Derek on Dreams was sick and Liz Reed was one of the better versions I had heard in awhile.

Susan Killed when she came out, loved it, love her voice and energy.

Tim Carbone on Into My Kitchen was cool, enjoyed that.

The evening was wonderful, Good people, good music in a wonderful venue.....

And we were down in the front row, 3rd row really, so the seating arrangements were OK!

Love the Days Between lyrics, Angela. I've always thought those were some of the most poignant Robert Hunter lyrics ... this one has always felt like a sort of love song to the most sweet days of my youth... dreamy memories, hearts full of promise... Thanks for printing these...

Glad to hear that folks got some magic moments with ABB in this lovliest of venues.

Great pictures Lenore!!! *smile*

There's nothing like the excitement of seeing the sun go down as the stands fill up with like minded fun lovers at Red Rocks. Dang, that's the stuff. Add the Allman Brothers Band to that formula and it's off the charts.

Muchas garcias to Old Coot and Sang for the pre concert (and pre incoherence) call. Kinda pulled us right into the RR buzz.

ABB at Red Rocks!!!
