I got these out the other day, kinda forgot about them to be honest. Good stuff, fun listening. Anyone else have these?

I remember the first time I listened to Talk Is Cheap...I was VERY surprised how good it was/is.

I have them (wait...I KNOW I have the studio albums...not sure if I ever got the live one or not...all my CDs are now packed up pending my upcoming relocation)

I'll get back to you once I've settled in an unboxed them.

Yes, I have them, and I also like to play them once in awhile - I think they are great......

I have Main Offender and pull it out for a play once in awhile. Ronnie Woods also has some good solo stuff, IMO.

I have Main Offender and Talk is Cheap...what is that other one? A live one?

Anyhow, I love them and have to self regulate how often I listen, so I don't over do it.

Again, love 'em.

I am probably going to screw this up, but I heard/read somewhere, Pete Townshend talking about the solo output of Mick Jagger vs. Keith Richards and describing his thoughts on the two:

"Mick's solo stuff...let's just say you can occasionally take the 'Mick' out of Mick, but Keith's solo records, you can't take the Keith out of Keith."

Those records are great. You can easily tell who the heart and soul of the Rolling Stones is by listening to them. "Could Have Stood you Up" is one of my favorites.

I love the first disc. Great grooves. You CAN see how a solo Keef could never make it very big because of his voice, but that is one of those ugly voices that a fan learns to love.
Interestingly, Keef used to have much greater range with his voice, if you listen to the harmonies on the late 1960s / early 70s stuff. Now he's gruff gruff gruff.

"Could Have Stood You Up" has guest Mick Taylor on guitar, a very rare post-Stones joining of Keef with Mick Taylor, and interestingly enough, Mick Taylor DID stand the Stones up when he suddenly and unexpectedly quit; they were on the verge of a tour!

There was a vine going around a while ago of a Rockpalast or Ohne Filter show. it's on DVD in PAL format. I have it if anyone is interested send me a PM. I'm not home now so I'm going from memory, but it's from the Main Offender tour. Top notch quality recording and playing. it's pure rock & roll with heart and soul.

I have Main Offender and Talk is Cheap as well. Love em both.

And I agree 100% that Keef is the heart and soul of the Stones.

Long may you rock Keith...

Just stay out of those trees...

Not according to almost everyone that I've read interviews with who has known or played with Keith...they unanimously agree what a fantastic guy he is, including Chuck L. He basically says in his book (in between the lines) that the Stones have treated him better than any other band he's ever been in....certainly better than Clapton treated him.

Keef is also one of the most intelligent and funniest musicians ever. I have never read an interview with him where he didn't amaze me with his knowledge of some obscure fact or leave me rolling on the floor laughing at his incisive wit.

I have "Talk is Cheap" on cd & vinyl, "Main Offender" on cd & a limited edition box set of "Live @ The Hollywood Palladium Dec. 15 1988"! It comes with the cd & a vhs of the same concert plus a concert booklet enclosed in a really cool box that looks like a hardback book. Mine is #2738 of 10,000 made! Love the stuff better than most of the Stones albums, especially the ones over the last couple of decades!

Man, I'd think he'd be worth close to a billion.....I bet the Stones made over $200 million just on their last tour.
