That one has been played by the ABB. Both bands used to play it, now neither plays it!

Worried Down with the Blues from the One Way Out album is just AWESOME.

Derek's solo is just amazing, and the first note of his solo, where he just holds it for a couple seconds, is one of my favorite notes, by any musician, on any instrument, of all time.

Fallen Down sounds like something that the ABB would do very well. Gregg singing it would be great to hear. Banks of the Deep End is another that has as much of an ABB melodic feel to it as anything; the Brothers played it at the Beacon about 5 years ago. There may be a couple others on Life Before Insanity.

Worried Down with the Blues is an ABB song for all intensive purposes. I believe it was first played by the Allmans in 1996...Gregg, Derek, Oteil, Warren played on the studio version and the entire ABB recorded it for One Way Out.

I don't think many Mule songs work in the ABB context but after the Rocking Horse at Jones Beach, I'm willing to reconsider. It really took an over the top version after all these years to feel that way though. However, I love that song with the Mule.

I think Lay Your Burden Down with Gregg singing the Ben Harper verse from the record and the hidden track at the end of Life Before Insanity would be great. Those are the two that I think would work best in the ABB and maybe Mother Earth off the first record.

Fallen Down is great tune and the jam at the end is great but I hate the opening line and cringe at the thought of hearing Gregg sing...." Bigelow.....the Giggelo" but as the Dude said...." That's just....like...your opinion, man..."

I think they do Rockin' Horse because it was going to be an ABB tune back in '94 or so. I believe I've heard or read that there's a '94 era ABB recording of it floating around somewhere.

I saw them do "Worried Down With The Blues" mid-90's. They haven't just randomly picked Mule tunes to cover. They do plenty of that with Van Morrison

Derek would jam like hell in Mother Earth. A full ABB rearrangement of that tune would be interesting though technically not a Mule tune.

I know lots of people like Rockin' Horse as a Mule tune , but I feel the ABB make much better use of it than Mule ( probably because it was written with the ABB in mind , not the Mule ) That being said I'd think "Sco-Mule" would fare quite nicley with the ABB treatment. Lots of room there for the Brothers 3 headed percussion monster to roam around and I can see Mr. Trucks just finding his space for a killer solo too ........

I would love to hear abb do a version of GOIN OUT WEST. It is awesome when Warren plays this cover - but I think it has some abb possibilities.

Was at the Beacon for Banks of the Deep End, did Baracco sit in on keys???

Although not only a Mule song, I'd like to hear Gregg sing She Said She Said.

Have to disagree. Both those songs are absolutely dependent on the pathos of Warren's vocals.
