I know I saw on the home page here at one time something about which band opened and which band closed....not now.

I guess they got tired of trying to keep up with changes or who knows....

Regardless, I guess the message is...do not be late to your show.

Sounds like they are getting equal amounts of set time at the shows anyhow, right?

I noticed that, too. I listed my Saturday CLT tickets in the SPARES forum and couldn't remember if my show was an ABB opener or closer. I think WSP opens on 10/3 and ABB opens on 10/4. Hell, I don't know.....

I did notice that the info about who opens and closes the ABB/WSP shows has been removed. Wonder why? Of course, I feel as a matter of respect, that the ABB should be the closing act. Without bands like the ABB, who "opened the door", where would bands like WSP be. The ABB paved the way for a lot of bands, like WSP, DMB, ect.

Yes that is strange...i appreciate music enough to be well informed and versed and I have actualy been somewhat bummed about the Nashville show I will be attending soon. It was advertised as ABB first with WSP closing.... i realy have tried to listen to WSP by downloading the shows of late since i have never been a fan and im sorry I do listen and the band is awesome but once the vocals start i cant stand it ...am I so wrong...?

I would prefer just ABB with the Doobiies...just like Wanee FEst.......oh well cant have everything... but i will enjoy the Brothers.......

They originally had WSP opening in Knoxville on 10-13 and the ABB closing. I sure hope it stays that way. Either way, I'll be there for that one.

I'm sure it's affecting ticket sales. One reason I didn't buy me and Bluedad tickets to the Sunday Charlotte show was because the Brothers were closing. That would put us on the road late going home to GA (we're both due at work on Monday,) and you know how it is after a show. You see people you know, you linger, chat, have another beer, etc., and next thing you know, you're hittin' the road at 1AM. Plus, if Panic opens, some might opt for a late arrival and there will be a lot of empty seats during their set.

Good point! I hadn't thought of it that way.

Trust me on this one - IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO OPENS OR CLOSES!
WSP and ABB are absolutely incredible together - these are must see shows. If you love excellent music, you will be amazed by the musicianship of both bands.
The only thing you need to know is - DONT BE LATE. It is 4-5 hours of mind-blowing entertainment.

At Canandaigwa, WSP opened. After WSP blew the roof off, a few of us thought ABB would be unable to play at that energy level - and I was there to see ABB folks......we were wrong. ABB was the best I have ever seen them perform (and I have seen lots and lots and lots of abb). The chemistry is perfect with this CO-BILL. Don't miss it.

Quoted for prosperity. Heading to both Chicago shows starting tonight. I don't care who plays first. Two awesome bands. Great sitins, sounds like it'll be just one big 'ol 5-hour party!

The venue can tell you the order a day or so beforehand. But don't trust the times, ABB went on 15 mins early in Hartford.

I agree abb should be closing. But I think it's a great co- bill.

Enjoy Lee! WSP is very much the Jimmy Herring show. He rolls off thousands of notes...

This may have changed, but I read that WSP & ABB will begin alternating opening/closing positions starting in October. Regarding Charlotte, I read that WSP will be closing on Saturday Oct 3rd and ABB will be the closer on Sunday Oct 4th.

It will be worth going either way.

I believe this is correct, also.
