The show was awsome and well worth the money and the drive. Unfortunately the car was broken into and robbed of guitars, camera equiptment and stereo components.
the most important of the bunch was a Takamine acoustic guitar with the signatures of all th members of Max Creek fron several years ago, along with several stickers including POW MIA, party naked, round dancing bears and more. This was one of my sons first guitars and holds an incredible amount of sentimental value. So if you happen to see such a guitar please contact me through this site. We are in the process of filing the apprpriate paperwork with the proper authorities. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Man, that sucks. In all the years I have been around this website and have shared others' concert experiences, I've never heard of anyone having their car burglarized in the parking lot of the venue, at least not that I can recall. I hope you can recover your items.

Back in 1980 or '81, my '67 Chevelle got burglarized at an Aerosmith show. The took my Jensen 6 X 9's (that were loose in the back seat) and some paraphernalia. I hate a thief!

Sucks......

I had a 89 rally sport in 91, beautiful white w/ maroon interior.......

Went to a show in Nashville called Operation Rock & Roll, Priest, Motorhead,Alice Cooper,Metal Church,Dangerous Toys ......

Had the best spot to get out of the lot...... till I got back & a dozen cars had the windshield broke out...... mine 1st.......

Drove 2 hrs home with little chunks falling out on me , looking threw one clear spot.....

Watching eBay is a very good idea... you can set up a search to notify you automatically any time you get a match to your specs. Also notify some of the music stores in the area, anyone who sells used instruments.

It sucks to say but I would have never had items like this in my car at any venue, it's sad, it really is. Too many cold hearted idiots out there. Well, if you ever find the crook I will post em on OfficialA$$hole.com for ya.

Thieves suck. The guitar won't be hard to spot. Pawn-Shops!! - 300 mile radius to start.
Hope they nail em.

cozmikma,

If you have a picture of the guitar, especially with all the signatures from Max Creek, it might be a good idea to send a copy not only to all the pawn shops, music stores within a 300 mile radius, but also to all local law enforcement within the same area (yeah, I know it's a "big job" and a PITA, but the more "pro-active" you are early on the more likely you'll be able to recover your "stolen items"). Also, if you have serial numbers and descriptions on your camera and stereo gear, I would send that along, too. Also, I have to agree with "cogger", I would never leave, or for that matter, take anything of any real value to a concert and leave it "unattended" in a vehicle during a concert. Breaking into a vehicle and stealing stuff is quick and easy, and relatively safe, in a parking lot of a concert venue.
