This was the first of two consecutive nights (8/15 & 8/16) photographing Derek Trucks Band that weekend..... I have honestly run out of complements to say to these guys. I have been going to their shows for almost 10 years now and they still blow me away. Amazing.

Keep your eyes out for the next night's photos as well as Derek with the Allman Brothers Band (8/21).

Enjoy:

I've been listening to Joe's recent cd and it is great. The Ballad of John Henry. And I saw him in NJ at the Wellmont. Go see him cause he is the best out there right now other than Derek.

My favorite song on the cd and there are at least 6 songs I would say make this cd well worth buying. And he wrote this and many others on it which is really a great thing seeing how he has progressed in this area. Go and see him as soon as you can and buy his cds cause they will not disappoint.

The shape that I'm in
Never let her down a day in my life
Tree's all around me
As i see the time pass me by
Never trade you for the world
Never do the things i used to
I guess it's not good enough
This i see
But I'll remember happier times
Life it hits me
Comes faster now day by day
Places that i've been
Are not the place i wanna be
Never trade you for the world
Never do the things i used to
I guess it's not good enough
This i see
And i'll remember happier times
Friday comes and goes
I guess i won't talk to you anymore
So many things unsaid
So many things i wanna say
Never trade you for the world
Never do the things i used to
I guess it's not good enough
This i see
But I'll remember happier times
And Now remember happier times

And I love this one on the recent Derek Trucks Band cd. Good stuff on it too.

Did you drop your baby at the bottom of the blues?
Well, everybody's gotta suffer for all the things you choose
You say, I need you sweetie, but I ain't got the nerve
You can do what you please, but you get what you deserve

Don't know if they told ya, in the year that I come from
They were talkin' 'bout a revolution, talking about Vietnam
Well, you can't quite remember, baby ain't you heard?
You can do what you please, but you get what you deserve

Sooner or later, some kind of savior
Is gonna come down through the roof
Do me a favor, let me off easy when you do

I don't need no doctor, I don't need no truth
I'm goin' to California, baby I'm bulletproof
Just a strange believer, runnin' on the word
You can do what you please, but you get what you deserve

Get what you deserve (repeat)

I was just looking at Joe Bonamassa's profile on Facebook and I came across some photos of Joe's sit in with Derek. They are good photos, so here is the link to the last page for the sit in. The other pages have other photos of the DTB too so just tool around. Ang
