Ted Kennedy has passed in the last couple of hours or so.

I've been watching the coverage on CNN.

So, I was curious how Fox news was covering it so I went over there.

THEY ARE STICKING WITH THEIR NORMAL PROGRAMMING!!!!!

???????????????????

This is just stunning. Have they lost their minds?

I mean, they were all over the freako weirdo sicko Michael Jackson passing, yet they ignore Ted Kennedy?

Unreal.

Divide and Conquer. Brilliant! The CFR loves you.

Because you can't destroy a democracy overnight, it takes time, and your kids money!

I am sure ABC, CBS, and NBC will have plenty of fantastic things to say about Mr. Kennedy all day tomorrow. You will not be able to get enough of the Ted Kennedy lovefest that is about to come your way. Because Ted was truly a saint.

Not accurate regarding Fox's coverage of Kennedy. I've been working on an Excel project all morning in my office, and had them on in the background at various points. From what I could tell, their coverage was 80% or more dedicated to Teddy.

FOX was the only place you could go to get away from the M. Jackson story for a few minutes. They are talking about Kennedy right now.

They have been on the Kennedy story all morning. But, they are covering other news as well. Like the deficit, the obama's escalating war in Afganistan, Kaddafi, healthcare, and more. Check it out, educate and inform.

Honestly Marc, I haven't sensed or seen a partisan angle in their comments or coverage. Maybe once or twice an anchor would reference something like "disagreements about politicis aside" and then go on to praise or recite the many accomplishments that can be credited to Kennedy. I'd expect more potential for partisan discussion on their evening opinion shows, but the news seems to be playing it pretty straight.

I find it interesting to note the people saying they've been watching FOX all morning. First, no surprise given some of the posts and two.....all morning? I watch the news but I don't keep it on all morning!!!!

No one knows for certain what happened that night. I've heard several versions of what happened that night.

Oh come on now...let's not rehash that Chappaquiddick incident, not in this thread and not on this day.

I am not particularly a huge fan of the man but he does deserve respect as an elder statesman of our country.

Exactly, just as other news outlets jumped on the story immediately because they knew their audience, nothing wrong with either approach.

Then again, on the other hand, you have Chris Matthews this morning saying that Obama is the "last Kennedy brother." Huh?

What is so surprising??? They are the most unfair and unbalanced channel on cable, aren't they? The spin like hell zone I think O'Riley calls it.

Real news channels report the NEWS. In detail.

Entertainment channels report stories that viewers want to see.

FOX news covered Micheal Jackson's Death, extensively. FOX "news" is an entertainment network.

Just like "E".

Not sure how you could get educated and informed watching a Rupert Murdoch owned media outlet. That's like saying I won the tallest midget contest.

You're right. And MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS & NBC know their crowds as well. Maybe Fox isn't the one that's sooooo biased after all.

MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS & NBC are all owned by huge multinational corporations. Huge multinational corporations are not left leaning, period.
