"You can't really go by what Rolling Stones says, it is a pretty tired magizine..."
(about the Rolling Stones article) "I thought it sucked!"

Yes my friends and I got a kick out of him saying that about the RS magazine/interview and what he said about Allen Woody.

Thanks for the link. Gregg ... let's just say ... calls it as HE sees it.

Thanks for sharing, this was a fun interview.

Hope the biography and new GA & Friends album both see the light of day.

I won't hold my breath on a new ABB album though.

I broke out a much needed laugh hearing Gregg talk about the opening bands starting with Widespread Panic and then saying, as only Gregg can, "the Doobies were really good, I tell ya what."

Hahaha!

I needed that.

....also laughed at the mention of taking the Gregg Allman & Friends Band in to the studio.

HA!

I wonder who they are going to see record. Maybe Gregg is just giving them a tour.

LOVE this interview. Really... it's the most I've ever heard him open up. Kinda surprised to hear him trash Skydog, but at least he's telling it real.

Gotta hear more ABB/Gregg in the studio. His voice is too good to not etch into history as much as possible.

He never "trashed" [skydog] he just said the guy who wrote it was "far removed from the allman brothers band".

Yeah, it was the way he referred to it, almost lumping it in with those other useless books...

He sure has an infectious laugh! I liked what he said about Dickey but I wish he had adopted that philosophy about nine years ago. Those two have got to go down as the most long running feud in rock history.

I love what he said about Rolling Stone calling him a redneck..and the guy they sent seemed really nice.

I can so relate. I had the local paper do a story about female hunters. I went on and on about how I feel about conservation, wildlife management and gun safety and they print my picture with the headline "Blood Sport". Ya gotta love the press.

Good interview.

I cannot wait for Gregg's book, curious to see what he remembers,
and how he remembers it "going down"

a perspective i often wonder about

This is really great stuff. Gregg doesn't get many props for his verbal skills but his perspective is clear and very well expressed. Looking forward to the book (in its last 22 hours of his preparation according to Gregg).

Very cool! Glad to see Gregg put Rolling Stone in their place. I used to get that delivered to my house for almost ten years and in that time it went from a great and informative magazine to a useless piece of garbage. I stopped getting it about five years ago.
