Ok ,now that I have your attention you bunch of Hopheads.......

What's everybody cut your lawn with ? Ride , Push , Goat....?

Do it your self , Kids, Wife , Pay the man.....?

Me, I have an 85 John Deere 160 & the basic Murray trim mower....... I refuse to own a weedeater....

About a football field to mow......

Love the JD, it has a Kawasaki motor that runs better than any car I've ever owned....

Push mower ... can't remember the brand ... and I operate it myself. Re: the John Deere - my sister's yard is about an acre and she recently picked up a lightly used JD rider to replace the POS rider she previously used and she loves her JD, too.

I have nearly an acre.

So I hire a landscaper to tend to the lawn, too much for my arthritic back.

at the old house I used a gasoline powered Lawn Boy mulching mower.
still have it in the shed. push mower no drive train.

My Approach was to let it grow out long in the spring (chokes out the weeds)
then bag the first cut, and use the mulch blade after that, worked well, I didn't need to use
a lot of chemicals. no waste for the landfill as the first cut went on the mulch pile.

My dad has a lawn boy that is 30 years old and still runs great.
just keep it clean and change the plugs as needed.

I had a Lawn Boy before a gasket blew. I have somebody come by and cut and edge for me now, $13 a cut. I have a small area.

I've always wanted to get a old tyme push rotor mower, but during the spring it grows too fast for me to keep up with that type of mower.

I have a friend accross town that has one for their lawn, They are kinda fun and good exercise as well.

They tend to cut lower than a power mower, and don't work well when it gets real long.

so you do end up cutting more often.

I use a MTD push mower. Takes me about an hour to mow my yard.
