As a follow up it has not been as good as I thought. I wish there was more actual music from the 3 days but as we all know alot of the music has not been released because the bands will not sign off. (A thought for the members of ABB who are holding up the latest Duane show) You would think that bands like the Quill or Melanie could use the money and exposure. I wish Canned Heat would release all of their Woodstock stuff. Santana and the Dead (not considered one of thier better efforts) did so why not the others?

Just got the WOODSTOCK BACK TO YASGUR'S FARM box set, came in the mail via Amazon.com. So far I'm really enjoying the set, and worth picking up.

It's the second Woodstock box set, the first one was relesed in 1994. While both box sets have some of the same material, this one has some new things such as music from Sweetwater, Tim Hardin, Bert Sommer, Incredible String Band, Quill, Grateful Dead, Blood Sweat & Tears. All of these artists were not presented in previous Woodstock CD collections.

The sound quality is great, and there are plenty of "new" stage announcements to keep it interesting. There is still quite a number of Woodstock performances that need to heard such as more from TEN YEARS AFTER, KEEF HARTLEY BAND but I'm sure that for the 50th anniversary these things might be released.

A heads up to those who are interested in this set - I just ordered a copy based on the vibe I got about it from the folks here. This is a limited edition set and is now sold out at most places (Amazon, Wal-Mart, BestBuy, B&N to name a few). Finally was able to find it available at Tower's web site. Looking forward to it.
