I wonder what John Lennon would think ... about the government bailouts, take overs, and control?
You mean as a US citizen?

(I love and respect John Lennon, jpb, but have no idea where you are going here)

Jerry had the right idea. I don't think Garcia would have done a benefit for Obama, no way.

Well, I don't think that we should try to speak for the departed - period. Don't know what John might've made over the AMERICAN debates. Besides, it was GEORGE who vocalized his issues with the "tax man".

Point of note here - look at all of those British artists who made tax exodus' from the motherland. They had objections to being over-taxed on their incomes and left for financially greener pastures (or tax havens). Where (and are) these artists being prudent or too greedy to share their enormous wealths with their countrymen?

What about artists in the U.S.? How many of these guys and gals seek tax-dodges? Does being an entertainer make it cooler for them (as opposed to "normal" millionaires) to avoid paying as much as possible?

Just axin!

They were also played an anti war rally at Columbia U. which had been shut down by student protests.
