Now, if you just don't like Ted or what he stands for, then do not go watch this video, it will just make you knash your teeth.

http://biggeekdaddy.com/miscvideos/TedNugent.html

Ole Ted, telling it like it is.

Sure, he is extreme but it isn't like he is spouting outright lies or hate.

{this thread ought to be fun}

If he had his way, there would hardly be any crime in this country.

It might be a good idea if he had some support from people like you on his forum. Why drag him over here?

I beg to differ on that, both would come out smiling, probably with some trophy animal. Either of them are welcome to hide in the cave with me when martial law gets insituted in this country and they want to take away everyone who tries to defend themselves.

Be part of the problem or be part of the solution like him or hate him what he says is the truth about guns...i have issues with Ted but they are not about guns.

Ted Nugent's opinion on guns doesn't mean a thing to me. He's a musician who's thirty years past his prime.

I'm more interested in his opinion of why he cried his way out of serving his country when they needed him and his marksmanship.

Probably for the same reason Gregg shot himself in the foot.

Difference here is that Gregg isn't going around talking about guns.

Doubtful. There would be more guns though, that's for sure.

Pro choice is a hot topic that brings into play deeply held religious convictions trying to manifest themselves into government. As I said in another thread, people who want less government in our lives are the same ones who don't want a woman to be allowed to make choices over her own body.

One can't have it both ways. Either government has the right to intrude in all aspects of our private lives, or it doesn't have the right to intrude in any facet of our privacy. And if abortion is murder then it's between the persons involved and their maker. No one else needs to interject themselves in the matter.

Does it follow then that any murder should be between the persons involved and their maker?

Ultimately a murder is the only person who has to answer to his or her maker for what he or she does. However the way you poised the question implies abortion is murder. There are some who may disagree.

Actually, I was responding to something you said in your post. Ultimately I suppose everyone has to answer to their maker for how they used the life given them, but I doin't believe that means there should be no consequences for one's actions here on earth. Especially for murder.

I agree. We have to have laws in a civilized society and there should be consequences for illegal acts. There is a definite question in the minds of many as to whether or not abortion constitutes murder. It's a legal procedure and law of the land, which to me, leaves any moral consequences left to the woman and her maker. It's not my place to tell her what she has to do. I never said I was pro abortion....I said I'm pro choice which leaves the decision to the people involved and not to me.

I can agree with that. I believe one of the things we should do is put every effort into making the decision to have the baby and either raise it or put it up for adoption much more attractive through education, support, parenting/life skills classes, etc.

I would expand on this and say that pro-life support for the child should continue until the age of 16. All children should have support through their formative years. Human children require extensive learning to become functional adults. We do not survive on instinct.
