Hello,

Does anyone have any advice for slowing music down? Assuming one had a live show tape or CD that was too fast (pitch too high) and wanted to slow it down using a .wav editor, is there a way to know how the music should sound. I know how to use the editor, but I can either enter the bpm (beats per minute) or use a "dial" and slow it down by percentages. I have Nero. I'm willing to spend the time because I sometimes get shows where Greg and Dicky sound like chipmonks. Anyone have any tips, insight etc. or is it simply slow it down till it feels right? Thanks!!

It depends if it's going to slow down the sound or actually correct the pitch as well. I have found that a lot of digital editing will slow or speed the tempo, but not change the pitch... - Personally, I compare it to a recording I know is acurate or tune it to my keyboard or guitar or something...
