enigmajean and I will be on hand.

not sure what time due to work, but there are lots of food places in all price ranges. outside the venue. can't leave once you go in. last week at Mule there was a seafood concession under a tent and plenty of beer as long as you like Milla light.

we got a chair due to being elderly...

8/6!

I'm hoping to make it down for this one... Will know for sure by tomorrow. I hear it's a beautiful venue, and the weather looks to be absolutely perfect that night.

The National Harbor is nice, the concert pavilion is a just a parking lot. Last Thursday for Mule I was extemely stressed getting there and I was on vacation. There is no way that I can work until 5:00 or 5:30 in MD and get there on time.

On another note if you are driving fro VA make sure you stay in the local lanes past the Wilson Bridge or you will go right by National Harbor.

Gold Circle is GA and I would reccomend 2nd row seats, there was no security keeping the crowd away from the stage. I don't mind hanging on the rail for any show if that's what I'm expecting going in, but we were in line for 3 hours and it was chaos in front of the stage. Alot of people were a little PO'd about that but others had no problem with it at all. I went for the 2nd row kind of expecting that.

at Mule had no trouble getting a GC seat around row 14, 15 minutes before they hit.

I prefer there for the sound sweet spot...

really hyped to hear Soulive...

also green line on the subway to Branch Ave., transfer to the NH1 bus will take you right to the venue

Bret and I decided to come after having such a good experience last week for the Mule, staying at the Residence Inn out there! I think 2nd or 3rd row are good as well, you can see the show well sitting or standing!

FYI, most of the restaurants get crappy reviews at Yelp. the happy hour food at McCormick & Schmicks was good, but the service was so slow it took us an hour and a half to get appetizers and drinks... I think we will try Potbelly Sandwiches and Elevation Burger this time. They got the best user reviews and are both close to the venue. They are also the cheapest

Of course, there is always Ben & Jerry's...

Alright...just flew in from Minneapolis and boy are my arms tired.

Enough of that.

Was able to connive a meeting at the Potomac TRACON in Warrenton for tomorrow, so I'm home in plenty of time to get back to National Harbor.

I love it when a plan comes together....

Excellent question--so I know who to look for!

Jim, I'm glad your "plan" worked out!

I still hope to make it up there with time for an early dinner, so thanks to Bret and Jay for the recommendations above.

See you tomorrow night, folks! Safe travels, everyone!

Had the veggie burger, bottle of real root beer and fries for $8 and change at Elevation Burger tonight. If you eat upstairs you have a view of the venue...

(It's next to the Segway rental place)
