I was so curious by the title of this thread... I had a vision of a little field mouse with a posthetic wheel instead of little feet...

I tried to put a little piece of cheese under my mouse...just to see what happens.

Just to let you all know...nothing happens, it works the same way as before...oh well

If I try something else that works...I'll keep you posted.

you can click spinner wheel and it creates a little 4-arrowed scroll thing on your screen, then use our mouse to scroll web pages for you if you are to lazy to move the wheel up and down.

the ctrl + spin is really cool to freak out people who are surfing the web with you...it's big! it's Small! it's big again! small!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

REVENGE OF THE WHEELIE!

i'm copying this one to my 'HOW TO USE YOUR COMPUTER THREAD" located in the General section of the forum....

from my HOW TO USE YOUR COMPUTER BETTER thread (general section)

quote:
Holy Cow! this one is even more useful! for people with Scroll mouses (the little whellie in the middle of your two mouse buttons)

In Internet Explorer, hold the Shift key while turning the mouse wheel to go forwards or backwards through the web pages you've visited.

Sometimes I have to work with spreadsheets with thousands and thousands of lines . . . that little wheel trick can definitely give you headaches and dizzy spells . . . what I've always found cool is that the further you move the mouse from your starting point (when you clicked the wheel), the faster the document will scroll, then it will slow down as you move back toward the starting point.

droogie i have found that most times it is easier to navigate in excel using the arrow keys on your keyboard. shift and using them highlihts a range, etc....besides, studies have shown that keyboard shortcuts are more efficient. LOL (i'm only partially kidding)
