...mulling over taking the wife, a decent way to spend a Sunday night, I figure. Anyone seen them in the last few years? Obviously would take things with a grain of salt at their age, but anyone have an opinion? At $55 for the cheapest seat saying no would be easy...

Starlight, actually, on a Sunday night in August. Heck, might go and sit out on the hill.

I would go at that price.
However, for me, I would preferto have Neil Young in the mix to get excited.

i would always prefer Neil with them as well but Crosby and Nash can still sing. Stills of course had the stroke and hasn't been the same but he can still play. Crosby and Nash are really a couple of old rockers who really haven't lost the pipes..My .02 cents

Saw them last in 1996 on a double bill with Chicago, who played the exact same show as the previous year minus all the "Night & Day" big band covers, as that album bombed.

Nash was totally annoying, high - fiving Corsby with every harmony. However, they were a LOT better than Chicago, who sleep-walked through their set. Worth seeing if you never have.

I saw them last summer. Can't recall what the ticket cost was, but my only complaint was they played for an 1hr 15min. I thought they still sounded great after all these years. I would recommend them.

Absolutely.
I had front row for CSNY in Jersey a few years ago. My friend and I were hanging around near the tour bus, and out came a heavy dude with long hair and a bright hawaiian shirt. We exchanged some small talk and left to go into the venue.
Once they got on stage my friend and I looked at each other and said" that was Steve Stills!"

Best place in KC to see a show. I might come up for it.

I saw them a few years ago with Neil here in Indy and I was impressed. But they don't have Neil with them. I have a couple of friends who are big fans and have seen them with and without Young and say they are better with him, but still good though

I saw them last August in Portsmouth Va. The Amphitheatre is on the water and a great venue. The ABB will be playing there in Oct. The show was fantastic . All three were in fine shape and seemed to be enjoying themselves . I hadn't seen them since the CSNY tour in '74 . I enjoyed it so much We're going back for seconds this August. A really strong sounding rythym section that grooved all night , including Crosby's son on piano. Joe Vitale was no slouch on the drums. I'd say go. You never know if this could be their last tour. Well worth the time and money. In my humble opinion.

I have seen them many times and plan on going to Jones Beach if the weather is good. Their harmonies aren't quite as crisp as they once were but still good IMO. A good night of entertainment to take your wife to.

Very possibly the worst concert I've ever attended. Free or not, this was torture....one of the three or four worst ever shows..I just up and left before it ended...it was that bad.

I'm pretty sure that was the year I last saw them. That was years before wife and child. Went with a large group of folks with tons of party favors. Couldn't tell ya if the show was good or not.

If you don't like their music, why did you go??? In 1996 their harmonies were still stellar. I don't believe they were bad. Just because you don't like someone's music doesn't make their performance bad. I wouldn't go to a show if I didn't like that band's music myself.

Hey Pete, at the time I had nothing against them, actually looked forward to it, a "Freebie" from a Beer rep. The vocals were so bad....the whole show had moments where you just cringed at the sound....You would hear this awful vocal harmony, cringe, look around to see others in the same row doing the exact same thing...maybe a one time thing, but I remember this show because I left early...

Seen them many many times. Last time was at Borgata. Although they sounded good, they played for maybe 1 1/2 hrs and I am being very gracious with that. For what I paid, no thnaks. Love them but I am done seeing them live.

In march of '95 I caught Nash & Crosby at a Jackson Browne benefit show and the two of them were in perfect harmony....The following year with Stills there... not so good.

I would go again though...

It must have been a one time bad show or something because their vocals are not nearly as good now as they were then but IMO are still nothing close to cringe worthy.

that explains the disconnect in the harmony last year they were still awesome.

The first time I seen them was in Dolphins Stadium for Hurricane andrew relief it was a great show
