hey all!
THANK YOU JON! what a thoughtful welcome home gift! (although placing it on whipping post was kinda weird! I NEVER come here and only did because I was told it was here!) I don't have a blow-up sea lion and now feel complete!
the trip was A-MAZ-ING!
i have thousands of photos so am unsure whether I can validate placing links on the site.......but believe me, it was TOTALLY WORTH GOING!
I have always had a passion for nature, science, evolution, and conservation and this trip just re-instilled in me the truth of my beliefs for me! SO GOOD!
I feel stronger, happier, more amazed at life in general, and WAY more thankful than I thought possible!
I stayed in Quito for several nights, at different times during the 20-day visit and was treated well by the hotel and all guides and trip helpers combined.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for my welcome home! I missed you all SO MUCH and am so glad to be home (though I really want to and plan on going back some day soon!) and back to doing my STUFF!
hope to see some or all of you at some upcoming gathering!
hugs
me

HAH! we weren't allowed to TAKE beer to the beach! Nor leave anything. We even had to go as far as washing our shoes off after every island visit before the boat was underway to avoid taking any seeds or other things that might contaminate other islands. Pretty intense regulations that I was very glad to see enforced!
not to worry though. There was ALWAYS beer on the boat (honor system fridge in the dining room), and of course, my "always replaced when empty" wine bottle! I loved our entire crew and what they did for us!

my pics look a lot like those! the wildlife was extraordinary and since most aren't preyed upon by other larger predators (like man!), they have no fear of humans and really are totally accessible with a camera. I went pretty crazy and took 200-500 photos per DAY! am trying to edit and label them all now. Am on day #13 of 20...........
Do you remember what boat you were on in the Galapagos? My cruise was 11 days as well and it was EXCELLENT!
