For me it was at the Savannah Civic Center in 2005.

I was sitting up close on the floor and I see BigDaveOnBass stroll up near the stage with a camera in his hand.

One of Savannah's finest tells him to hand over the camera. And Big Dave starts high-tailing it ! LOL!!

The cop starts chasing Dave all the lenght of the floor. Dave runs into a dead end ailse and then jumps the railing.

Quite adgile for a big man. I was impressed!!

My good friend Jade, along w/6 others & I, traveled down to Conyers, GA for the 7/4/97 show. We had a VERY festive day and probably - actually, most certainly - ate too many shrooms. Anyway, Jade had some issues during the early stages of the show and was basically on another planet. The security guard, in an effor to NOT kick him out and/or send him to jail (thank u, Mr. Security Dude) pulled a folding chair into the MIDDLE of the aisle (which were roughly 12 feet wide) and said 'Stay in that chair and I WON'T send you to jail'.

Jade proceeded to sit there and enjoy the concert all my his lonesome. He never moved - had the time of his life....and 'bobbed and weaved' like he was walking thru the crowd...as people walked past him...even though he obviously wasnt' moving.

you can't make this stuff up - it was priceless...

From my review of the ABB 2002 show in Birmingham

.... The weird stuff just kept occurring out near where I was sitting. It was such a buzz to watch the young’uns dancing and enjoying the music. At one point a man (who appeared to have done his part in reducing the supply of draft beer), had dropped his pants and was showing off his own “Robert Johnson”. His friends got him to settle down before the ushers or police noticed. The semi nudity continued when a young lady who was sitting in the row below me decided to step over the seats to move up a row. She was wearing a skirt, and as she stepped over the seat right in front of me I couldn’t help but notice that she forgot to put on panties … ah well. That oughtta keep the flies off the watermelon! ...

Back in the "old days" of home made recordings, I used to bring a cheap stereo tape recorder to the Beacon in order to make my own tapes (all of which I still own and listen to )

During one show, I had my hand held microphone out into the audience when I heard a security guy yelling at two teenagers thru my headphones. They were flinging lit cigarettes off the balcony! "Keep throwing butts of the balcony and I'll throw you off!! " yelled the guy. "Don't Do it again or your asses are OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
It was all caught on tape!!

Gotta hand it to them security people!! They sure help enhance the musical experience.

At a show in Buffalo, the couple in front of us were arguing non-stop. The wife just nagging and bitching at this poor guy. Just as the show is about to start, he gets up and says he is getting a drink. She says "bring me a coke." he nods.

Two hours later he returns and says "here's your coke. The line was real long. Did I miss anything?".

bet that was a fun car ride home.

When Gregg forgot the words to Sailin Across the Devil's Sea in Huntsville 3-4 years ago.
Jack was taking Derek's place that night. The band went around 2-3 times, Jackie finally went over to Gregg, gave him the lyrics. The whole band got tickled, kinda' caught up in it, laughing.

Myself arrested for my buddy kicking a beer ball at a cop on a bike...
It was a terrible situation because i missed the entire concert but i managed to sneak my harmonica into the holding cell and started a sweet blues jam with other criminals at the mansfield police station!
The police were amused also and let the music play on!

Funny now, not so much then. I was at the Great Woods show that was released on video. Went with a good friend and his wife who fought the entire night. Got in late, had lawn tickets, worst sounding show I've ever heard. Not a fun night.

Then I heard the tapes & saw the video.

There are probably a few folks who would say their funniest moment was watching some idiot roll down the hill at GW. That would have been me back in my "younger" days.

I would have to say the first show of the epic 2006 Beacon run. They brought out Hubert Sumlin to jam a couple of tunes and he was a hoot. He is a very old gentleman and was really hamming it up. The crowd was really eating him up as they played 'Smokestack Lightning' and 'Shake For Me'. After the second song ended, the crowd was going bonkers and the band was clapping. It was obvious that this was supposed to be his last song for the night but with the crowd going so nuts he was just eating it up and wouldn't leave the stage. Everyone in the band were cracking up and they ended up playing 'Sitting On Top Of The World'. It was very funny and very memorable!

A couple years ago, at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago. I think moe. opened. An elderly gentleman to my left was waiting for the Brothers to take the stage. (That night, Jackie P filled in for Warren, so it was a Derek and Jack combo..they did a Dimples if I'm not mistaken) Anyhow, when the lights came on, I looked at a friend of mine and thought...yeah Jack...this is gonne be great. .........the gentleman to my left looks at me with a blank stare and says, "Where's Dickey Betts, where's Dickey Betts?" It was funny at the time, looking back it was actually kinda a sad moment.

On the 'Seven Turns' tour, at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City
some guy with no front teeth kept yelling the obligatory "freebird"
but soon switched to "Long Live Southern Rock n Roll" which came
out as "Wong Wib Soubern Wok n Woll"
