Saw Duane and boys on three different occasions.

First time was at the Love Valley Festival, need I say more?

Second time was in Fayetteville, NC in August, 1970 where the band blew Canned Heat off stage (Canned Heat followed, but only played about three or four songs before leaving the stage, that's how bad the ABB "smoked them" and there was "no way" Canned Heat could get anything going after the ABB, and this was the orginal Canned Heat with "Blind" Al Wilson and Bob "Bear" Hite).

Third time was also in Fayetteville, NC about a week or two before the ABB recorded the Fillmore East shows. What was cool about it was it was in an 3000 seater audiotorium, and they did the show (and then some) that was later recorded at the Fillmore East.

Was at an ABB show at the old Va. Beach Dome in summer of '71. Had front row tickets & Cowboy opened.

Prior to that saw the band at Hampton Coliseum in fall of '70.

As stated in the "1st time you saw the ABB" thread:

I think the date was August 1970, I'm not very good with dates. It could possibly have been in 1969. Summer I'm pretty sure. It was in a small bar on Pensacola Beach and there was maybe 20 people in the audience. Suzi Storm & the Laymen opened the show. I can't remember the name of the bar though. It was an all-ages show on a Sunday afternoon (I think). They played mostly material from the first album.

Duane was amazing. Berry's leg pumped time the whole show. Dickey sat on the edge of the stage playing for a good part of the show. Gregg looked a little bored but sounded great.

Winter of 70' . Richmond , Va. The String Factory . Two story building on Broad St. In the heart of the Fan District. Right in the middle of VCU's campus. Downstairs was a " Head Shop" , you know incense , records , hippie clothes and the first waterbed I'd ever seen or laid upon. Upstairs was a little wine and beer bar that catered to VCU students and the public. Then , it was an all age bar , they just gave you a mark if you 18 years old.Cool place. Alice Cooper, Glass Harp , Catfish and many more played there . That was when Richmond almost had a Music scene !
