For those of you with itunes (or another music player) what is your top ten "most played" tunes. These aren't your favorites, just the ones that happen to shuffle the most (and no cheating!). Here are mine, I was kind of surprised to see some of these in my top ten, I guess sometimes you just play the hell out of a tune:

1. "Firing Line" Allman Brothers, Hittin' the Note
2. "Koop Island Blues" Koop featuring Ane Brun, Koop Islands
3. "Alberta" Eric Clapton, Unplugged
4. "Ain't Wasting Time No More" Allman Brothers, Fox Box 2004
5. "As I Went Out One Morning" Mira Billotte, I'm Not There Soundtrack
6. "Uh-oh, Love Comes to Town" Talking Heads, '77
7. "La Femme d'Argent" Air, Moon Safari
8. "Forty-Four Blues" Allman Brothers, Fox Box 2004
9. "Fourth Time Around" Yo La Tengo, I'm Not There Soundtrack
10. "SpongeBob & Patrick Confront the Psychic Wall of Energy" The Flaming Lips, SpongeBob Movie Soundtrack (I am not ashamed of this in any way)
10. "Tell Me a Bedtime Story" Herbie Hancock, The WB Years

Hmmm...I don't have iTunes on this computer, but, I'd have to guess that the entire Top 10 is ABB songs, since I haven't had my iPod all that long and other than a couple of recently added Eric Clapton albums, all the Derek & The Dominos albums, and the two albums from Bob Welch's post-Fleetwood Mac band, Paris, the rest of my iPod is all ABB's officially released albums, as well as a few bootlegs, and a few off-shoots (GA's studio albums, DB&GS, DBB, Sea Level, & Frogwings albums).

I'll come back & edit this post when I get the "actuals" this coming weekend.

Cool question and I was surprised at my results. I did play Col Bruck and the Quark Alliance quite a bit when it came out (Last Year). I have not listened to it in quite a while. It became a favorite of mine too.

Into the Mystic ABB
Equipment check..............LOL. ABB
The Weight ABB
The Den Is Heaven Quark Alliance
All Simpliticity Quark Alliance
Its Not Over Quark Alliance
Susan T Quark Alliance
Nicole Quark Alliance
Open The Door Quark Alliance
I'm no listening Quark Alliance

Weird how Quark Alliance topped the list. I bet DTB new CD takes over the top spot soon.

My top ten aren't my most-favorite songs--they're the tunes I've had to learn to play for bands, so they've been played over and over....

Catching up on what's happening in the ABB world and this post caught my eye because I like to see what other people are listening to. This specifically made me laugh out loud:

quote:
10. "SpongeBob & Patrick Confront the Psychic Wall of Energy" The Flaming Lips, SpongeBob Movie Soundtrack (I am not ashamed of this in any way)

I like this thread so much I've created a playlist on my iPod called "ABB fan tunes" and am doing my best to find copies of things I might like, even the classical stuff. This also helps me revisit songs I haven't listened to in a while like Van the Man's St. Dominic's Preview.

To play along, here's mine:

1. Roll Um Easy - Little Feat - Hotcakes & Outtakes; 30 Years of Little Feat
2. Long As I Can See the Light - CCR - Cosmo's Factory
3. Sometimes Salvation - Black Crowes - Southern Harmony and Musical Companion
4. Since I've Been Loving You - Led Zeppelin - III
5. Gov't Mule - Thorazine Shuffle - Dose
6. Toothbrush and My Table - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals - Nothing But the Water
7. Apologies to Pearly - ZZ Top - One Foot In the Blues
8. Old Man - Neil Young - Harvest
9. Enter Sandman - Metallica - Black Album
10. Estimated Prophet - Grateful Dead - Terrapin Station

I was surprised when I saw the results. The biggest omission of course is the ABB and DTB which I thought were in heavy rotation. I have a habit of going right to a certain song when I'm in the mood. Hmmm.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I hope the thread keeps going and you even put some of mine in your iPod.

P.S. Spongebob????????????
