In June of 96 I was in Chicago. My friends and I went to one the "famous" blues bars (?Blue Chicago). There's a band on stage with a guitar player that was pretty damn good. We were impressed. The band was mostly made up of black guys who looked to be in their 40s except for this one white kid playing guitar. When they announced who they all were, I didn't catch his name but I remember they said he was from Fairfield, Ct. We were all wondering what the hell is this kid from Fairfield doing in Chicago, playing the blues like that.

Looking at those pics, must've been Mayer

Is John Mayer still good? Seems like he'd rather spend his time dating high profile celebrities, which in my opinion, hurts his credibility as a musician. Well Gregg had Cher for a while, so perhaps I'm wrong.

Gee let me see would I'd rather practice my scales or ... bang Jennifer Anniston or Jessica Simpson? Hmmm??? I don't know what you'd do Barry Smith, but I damn sure know what I'd do. And I also don't follow you on your "Poontang hurts your credibility." theory either. That all sounds a little ... ahem ... "queer" to me.

That was a nice little distraction... the only ones I knew without
any doubt were V.Halen and Anastasio. And near the end ... Katy
Perry .. I don't know who she is then or now.
