Seeing the song list for upcoming Beacon DVD I could not beleive Layla was not on there!!
It reminded me of the first time I saw the 1970 video of the ABB with the camera on Dickey while you can hear Duane wailing away on a lead, what is wrong with these people!.
I guess it was the band's decision re song list for Beacon DVD?, I am dissapointed, I look forward to seeing the DVD and Thankful for the release but very sad Layla is not on there.
What does everyone else think?

They would have had to pay Clapton some royalties. No need for that. You know it's all about the money.

We can only hope Merlin, I understand Mike re royalty to Clapton but hey!, they will be giving their oposition(in the Classic Rock grand scale of things) the Rolling Stones royalty for covering their song.
If you read the ABB feature in recent Relix their was special mention of the dedication of Layla to Duane and Tom Dowd, I still can't beleive it is not on the DVD!(let's hope the Merlin is right and it is hiddin' track)

I bet paying the royalty had nothing to do with it. After all they paid the royality for "A Change is Gonna Come" & "Woman Across the River" and whatever else, but maybe there was a song clearance issue, or maybe they just weren't happy with the performances of the song. Or maybe it will be in the special features...

Lets just be happy with what is on it, and not worry about what isnt. Maybe it will be one of those "easter egg" things

Im sure it will be awesome either way.
