BOOGIE 'TIL YA DIE!!!! ... or until the checks stop comin' in.

Miami Herald columnist, Dave Barry once said of Mick Jagger after their meeting at a cocktail party, "from the neck up he looks like Yoda from "Star Wars"!". I just hope that I'm still up and getting around when I hit 60+!

Wrinkles and all, these guys are still better than 98% of what passes for rock musicians these days.

Amen. And wondering how different these photos of 'aging' rock muscians differs from pictures of Joe Everyman that are of similar ages.

Good point, certainly Keith is the butt of many jokes, but those guys are probably in great shape. Mick is known for being fit and I suspect Keith is too. They certainly don't appear to be overweight in any way, shape or form. Probably eat right and exercise...

Or just injest enough drugs and alcohol until you become immune to their effects!

I still like what Denis Leary said about "Keef" after hearing the guitarist's warning to young people to stay away from drugs: "They CAN'T do drugs, Keith - you took them all!"

They must be holding Tom Jones hostage in Elvis's tour bus and feeding him steroids. Ron Wood and Robert Plant look like they have not aged as well as Mick Jagger.

Yeah but in all fairness did he not have a liver transplant or something similar? he can still belt out the tunes... what effect has age had on any of your playing? I know i have lost speed on the drumset, i for the life of me can not play Rock and Roll by led zep any more and that is a bummer.

I sure didn't mean anything negative by my post. Not at all. You'd have a hard time finding a bigger Jack Bruce fan than me

We All Get Old

Maybe I'm right
And maybe you're wrong, it doesn't matter
In the course of our lifetimes
You'll surely try running away
We'll wait and see about that

But if you don't stay with me baby,
If you don't stay with me baby
I'll be right there in your mirror
When we get old
When we all get old

Time washes it in
And the high tide takes it out again
I've seen you trying to bail out,
I've seen you trying to cast your stone
I've seen you trying to flag that cab

But if you don't stay with me baby,
If you don't stay with me baby
I'll be right there in your mirror
When we get old
When we all get old

Now I don't like to be rushed
And I don't like to be pushed
And you know I don't like to be jerked into anything
Why don't yu keep my phone number in mind
And I'll be right there in your mirro
When we get old
When we all get old

-Ron Wood
"We All Get Old" -album - "Gimme Some Neck" (1976)

I never thought you did mean anything negative .. Jack looks pretty rough abd alot of people who do not know him well kinda don't understand his medical problems i was just pointing that out..

Amazing how well he can still belt out the vocals. I'll never get tired of hearing that voice. One of the great rock singers of all time IMO, and he can still bring it!

My favorite Jack Bruce album, without a doubt, is 1973's "Why Dontcha'" By West, Bruce and Laing. Smoking!
