Not sure if everyone's heard, but Clapton will be doing 11 nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London next month. I sure wish I could go to a few of the shows, but I won't be able to since it's overseas. George Thorogood will be doing a show there on May 27, which is in between 2 nights that Clapton is playing. Wonder if the 2 might jam together onstage during one of the shows? It'd be cool to see them together, even though they both have different styles. They could do The Sky Is Crying, or maybe Willie & The Hand Jive together. Let me know your thoughts on this.

I'm wondering if Clapton picked up any tips from the ABB's Beacon Run for his RAH shows.

He used to just play his own sets (although a few nights would be full band, small band, blues band & with orchestra)...I wonder if he'll start having different guests at each show? Considering the number and diverse styles of people he's played with, that could be almost as interesting as the ABB's Beacon Run guests.

No way, George is the Man!

BTW, according to a Moogis interview, the Clapton run at RAH was the
inspiration for the ABB playing so may nights at the Beacon.

I live in New Jersey, and as luck would have it, I missed the Beacon Run this year, but the little woman and I will be going to RAH to see Clapton on May 23.

Late one night, while I was under the influence of alcohol, I opened an e-mail from a Clapton fan site. It had an announcement that Clapton was renewing his run at RAH, and a link.

I start clicking around, and the next thing I know - I'm buying tickets!!

I've never been to London, so we are going to make a trip out of it.

Should be a blast!!

I hope you have a really great time over here ... the weather in May is usually very good too so it should be a perfect time for wandering around ...
