not able to make it to the show, but putting in another plug for Playin' Dead. An excellent cover band.

and, going to put in a plug for the annual Jerry Garcia road race in Cambridge, along the Charles, Thursday 7/30.
Race fee includes post race party with all you can eat bbq chicken dinner, Harpoon Ale on tap (until it runs out), and dancin' to Playin Dead

Playin Dead had a couple hundred people for the afternoon party! What a great turn out for them!

Into the first 3 songs of the Deads set!

Feel Like a Stranger
Going Down the Road Feelin' Bad!

Warren's solo on the first song was off the charts!

Here's the complete set list!

Set I:

Jam >
Stranger
GDTRFB
Mountains of the Moon >
Dupree's Diamond Blues
Althea>
Bird Song
China Cat Sunflower >
I Know You Rider

Set II:

Jam >
Dancin' >
Milestones>
Terrapin>
Drumz>
Space>
Days Between>
Jam>
Birdsong>
Sat Night

E: Donor Rap
Johnny B. Goode

I loved the first set!!! Terrapin was my fav in the second set! The tone from Warren's Strat was killer! Everyone around me including some who didn't know much about Warren where raving about him. There was a bit more Bobby at this show but perhaps tonight we'll get more Haynes!

I got a few video clips that are uploading now. One is done...

FYI, the spacey noise samples being played as the band segues into "Space" are real "sounds of the universe". DC was treated to vibrations from Jupter.

To listen to the ones from your show check the sound files out the day after:

http://www.dead.net/features/news/general-news/dead-09-touring-universe-sou nd

like, total cosmic oneness vibration.

to join my church, The 1st Mystery Church of the Sub-Atomic Vibration, just declare yourself a member and start vibrating!

Matt, if you had to get lost, that was cool place to hang! We're headed to Tammany for the Bud & Budd pre party. Should be there about 4:30. I'm in sec 109 row JJ seat 14 tonight. If you're coming up at any time from the floor, come by that way.
