Hey there sweet family,

We heard from Stu Schimmel of WBAI 99.5 FM in NYC this afternoon. Stu was kind enough to give us a heads up that this coming Saturday, April 18th, on his radio show he will be doing a two and a half hour "recap" of the Beacon run, playing many of his favorite cuts from the fifteen shows, in the highest quality available.

Stu's program will stream live on the internet, so if you are inclined, you can tune in over the air at WBAI 99.5 FM NYC, or over the internet at http://www.wbai.org Saturday night from 9:30 PM to Midnight NYC time.

Sounds like fun!

Take care and know that you are loved,

Lana

They should have tuned in to us on the play by plays; or maybe they did and we started somethin' !

I would really like to hear this but I cannot access a computer at the time this show airs.
Any chance somebody will record it? Not sure if that is even ok to do? If that is a prohibited thing, sorry for mentioning it.
Does anyone think this will be surfacing in trades section?

I am hoping that maybe they repeat it on the stations web site.
This sounds very interesting.
I have only had time to really study 2 of the 15 shows, 3/12 & 3/13, both amazing, but would really like to hear somebody else’s comments on the highlights of this run.

Anyone else listening to this? I don't know if it's just me, but the sound is so garbled it's pretty much unlistenable. The live commentary is crystal clear, but the quality of the Beacon tracks is pretty bad.

Actually there were different resolutions for this --- if you used VLC you could get the Hi Res broadcast (Thanks to my son Brian I got it set up) ---- sound was GREAT !!!!

I do hope that this was recorded (if that was OK) --- it really whets the appetite for Moogis, the Beacon box --- sure wish I had the bucks (wife was just laid off)

Maybe we'll get lucky & they'll podcast this.

Pat

WBAI should have it in their Archives for later listening. Last night the show began fine with excellent quality then became un listenable when Buddys performance began. I shut it down right after Bonnie

Yes, it is archived on the WBAI website. Unfortunately it is archived at 24Kb mono.

Update: listened to most of the archived version. The music parts are unlistenable.
There must have been some problem with the equipment. Maybe they will repeat
this at some point in the future.

I found the Archive option, I thought the program was very interesting! Yes the audio quality was poor and I noticed other sources bleeding in. I found if I tried to keep loading the web site it improved slightly.
Again very interesting show, and the content proved fascinating.
The DJ talked about possibly having another ABB themed show in the future since he only had so much time for this show.
Lana thanks for passing along this information so it could be enjoyed.
