Well, there's a few concerts coming to Dallas that I'd really love to go to. I'm planning on going to the Allmans on Oct. 16, but I also want to see U2 & Metallica. Which band out of those 2 would you pick? I like them both & have never seen either band live.

Talk about a trifile post. If making a decision between U2 amd Metallica is a "hard decision" then you're in pretty good place. Nevertheless between the two, I would have to go with U2.

I like both equally and would probably flip a coin on that one. Two totally different types of music but both very good. It is a good dilemma IMO.

Neither, I travel to Tulsa to see Jimmy Herring. Call me a stick in the mud but if you wanna hear U2 or Metallica in Dallas just turn on the radio.

I wouldn't care if I got free tickets, backstage passes and all the food & drinks I could ingest, I'd STILL pass on Metallica.

Metallica, without a doubt. IMO the new album is their best since And Justice...

Here's the setlist they've had so far in 2009...

That Was Just Your Life
The End Of The Line
Creeping Death
For Whom The Bell Tolls
One
Broken, Beat And Scarred
Cyanide
Sad But True
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
All Nightmare Long
The Day That Never Comes
Master Of Puppets
Damage Inc.
Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman
Encore:
Last Caress (Misfits cover)
Breadfan (Budgie cover)
Seek & Destroy

Without a doubt, Metallica, U2 sold out after joshua tree (IMO) and maybe even before then.

One thing you haven't stated is where they are playing. Is U2 playing at a monster plex with 65,000 of their closest friends? Metallica has kept things "small and intimate" by playing hockey arena's.
