Apparently they open.

Gives me a chance to be back in Skaneateles at a decent hour.

(After a proper tailgate)

Don't be so sure Ron. I was not a WSP fan prior to seeing them. Not much exposure up here and the couple of things I heard were OK. But in fairness, I never gave them much of a listen.

I was wrong. it may be that the addition of Jimmy Herring has made me a fan but overall they rock. Was one of if not the best show I saw last year. Jimmy Herring is on fire with these guys. I find his playing is more like himself than coping Jerry or Dickey. I think you will be pleasantly suprised by these guys.

This is what happened with me. Decided to give them a try once time at a live show having not really listened to much of their music and fell in love with them. They do an excellent live show (and I keep going back any time they're in my neighborhood)

Once I saw that WSP was with ABB I gave a listen to some stuff on Itunes....didn't really like their studio stuff I listened to but then listened to some more recent live clips online and liked their sound. If we go I think we'll stay for the whole thing. Does anyone know if/how/when the presale for this show is? On 4/25? How and where? I've seen info on other shows but not this one.

That is why I am convinced that you will like the Herring addition. Changed the complexion of the band and no disrespect to previous players but there is an energy that didn't exist before. I guarentee that you will not walk out on them if you start watching.

If that guy would just not sing they are quite good live and JH brings a nice add to the sound as James says. His voice gets worse every time I hear him.

The presale and tix for this show last year was later than the others but it did come. CMAC is annoucing its entire summer lineup on April 16th, I would guess we will get more information then.

I used to think the same about his voice but it seems to have grown on me over time. Really the type of band that you have to give the songs some time. Songs I originally thought average, I now have a new respect for.

The added bonus of Herring is out of this world. Jimmy is free to (dare I say it?) shred without it sounding out of place and it is his natural style. With Phil, he is much mellower and it would sound out of place. Same with the ABB, people would have thought it was Zakk all over. With WSP, he just goes for broke.

This looks like the show for me. Not sure about Gilford. If both Ken and I can make it, how can you even think of leaving Ron? Hell you may still be in Canandaigua the next day.

James, if you come down I'll stay for the whole show.

Probably have Derek with me.

Just curious, where are you getting the info from that says Panic are headlining? I don't see that anywhere.

Pollstar seems to list it as ABB headlining with Panic & Warren Haynes solo. That would be pretty sweet.
