We went to jazz Aspen in '07. Awesome!...beautiful outdoor venue in Snowmass. The ABB shattered the attendance record for the festival that weekend, over 20,000 peeps!

I highly recommend that you go...

Here I am! Late to the party online. But I'm sure I'll be around for the Labor Day Party. I'll see re: Aspen. The crowd was too much for the ABB show there last time-I didn't really hear the concert until I got the show cds. But, the day after the ABB last year was Soul Stew Revival and Gov't Mule and the crowd was much better.

It was beautiful and we had good weather and fun, but the crowd was so thick that BigV and I were not that far apart and spoke by cell phone but could not get thru the crowd to each other. Luckily, I saw V because he was carrying around a chair he took from somewhere and stood on it while we spoke!

I'm in for Red Rocks, but doubt I'll make Aspen...long drive, expensive etc. I was squished up against the fence in 2007, on Derek's side . Lovely day, don't know why they didn't open up the chairs on the other side, would have made things a little easier.
So, when do tickets go on sale?? Thanks Lana, you sure are Johnny-on-the-spot with all the info!!

As a recently transplanted Coloradoan I am very happy about this. I was hoping for something a little bit better than DBT though.
