Does anyone in the know or anyone looking to guess want to comment about Bethel Woods, NY or Scranton, PA getting added to the late summer tour.

I can't believe the Brothers would over look the nicest outdoor venue on the east coast (Bethel) and one of the venues where they have thrived for the past 20 years (montage mountain Scranton). I'm really hoping the Panic/ABB show can roll into these venues and if you look at the schedule, there is room for one or two more additions.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Looking at how the tour shapes up, and if you believe the Red Rocks Labor Day rumors - I'd say no.

I'm pretty bummed too. Really wanted to make my first trip to Bethel Woods this year for this lineup. When the rumored dates trickled in, I had my fingers crossed that the Saturday 8/22 show was gonna be Bethel Woods, or SPAC, but no luck.

Maybe they are thinking a Saturday Canadaiuga stop satsifies upstate NY & PA...

Scranton is usually a late edition to the tour schedule, so I'm still holding out hope.
I can't imagine there's any way they will miss SPAC. They have been a big draw there forever. Still a good chance we'll see them there in August, maybe after Hartford?

Bethel is always very late compared to other venues announcing dates but I agree, best venue on the in the NE.

It looks like there is a couple openings in August still. Assuming they only play 2 nights back-to-back with one off, there could be additions on August 25 or 26 and then the 18th, or anything prior to the 18th. DTB has 3 shows in August prior to the 19th and all are in the NE so it would be possible to add more ABB shows in the area in early August.

I must say after hitting Ohio atleast once and usually twice over the years, it would be surprising and sad if they skip us again. I can understand the 2008 schedule being the way it was, but they haven't come to Ohio since 2006 when they played both Cincy and Cleveland. The venue in Cleveland, Nautica/Plain Dealer Pav is in a beautiful spot and nice and small at 5000 capacity. After missing Cleveland 2 years straight I think they would sell well here. If they come with the Doobies or WSP then Blossom would work, a venue they have played several times before.

2008 was the first year they did not play Star Lake Pavilion (post gazette) near Pittsburgh in my memory dating back to the early 90s. Last year was different, but I'd be surprised if they skipped it for a 2nd year.

Could Pittsburgh and Ohio might get left out again - say it ain't so!

Maybe they are skipping Bethel this year because they are playing Mountain Jam which is pretty close in proximity?

Nebish & Co....

Think it's safe to say OHIO has been bypassed again. Most of the top venues, whether it be Riverbend, the FRAZE here in Dayton or even Cleveland have pretty much filled their schedules for this summer. Yep...it is unbelievable but something has occured to disuade the ABB from Ohio or this region in general. We'll try to make the trek to Wanee...and that probably is gonna be it unless some Atlanta shows are added at the FOX. With only a Beacon run and a festival or two each 'season' from here on out....the end has come for the ABB here in Ohio I'm afraid. Yes..."it's SO!". It's been a good run tho'!.

No Darien with the Bros. playing Canandaigua only 70 miles away.

I'm still hoping they do the NY State Fair, but the Fair has reduced the number of Grandstand shows this year, and only have one or two openings left.

Not anal enough to search ABB/DTB/Mule/Dead etc. schedules to see if that would even work.

Glad we have tickets for Canan.

Yup, Dave throws a hell of a bash.

Enjoyed our time there a few years back.

That post was from 4/2. I don't think RR was official by then.

Duh. I never think to look at the date of the post...

if there is a Bethel show, i think you won't here anything til after the Allmans show at Mt. Jam on May 31st. so i guess there is a chance Bethel gets announced on Monday June 1st. i sure hope there is a Bethel show, the venue is great. Woodstock 40th Aniv. and Allmans 40th Aniv., i say thats a good reason to play there this year.
